Noticed that the demo has a free-wheeling pulley on the crank, haven’t seen this in any of the other shots. Maybe I missed it… Waiting on more details about the brakes. Between the new hopes and these I really want to see what gets released first. Hard to imagine that the project black brakes are actually Brembo. I have a Brembo MC on my track bike and this design aesthetic doesn’t scream Brembo at all. My 2c is it’s a specialized design ripping off TRP Just like Lewis stole Trickstuffs patents lol.

Cold cannot be the problem here. Do timing belts in cars break when its cold? I run a pinion/belt equipped fat bike all winter when its 0F and I have never broken a belt... The times I have broke a belt however, is after a rock strike. While all of the pinions have bashguards to protect the box, several of the bikes dont have anyway of protecting the belt specifically. If a rock kicks up and hits the belt, there's a good chance its damaged and can break. I have thousands and thousands of miles on gearboxes/belts and design bikes...

Another thing that people don't understand- if something gets leaked before bike shops know whats coming, they can have lots of product on the floor that lose considerable value as soon as a photo is posted, as everyone will want to wait for the newnew or expect discounts. It's already hard being a bike shop owner, and some of this deleting is actually best for the industry in the long run. heavily influenced by Escapee Collectives discussions on this topic and embargos

they just venmo me $2.79 per deletion. it's very rare we get asked to take anything down and in 16 years of being at vital, i don't remember any leaning/pressure from brands "if you don't do X, we'll hold back from working with you." just because something was here and goes away doesn't always mean we deleted it. we delete if asked by a brand b/c someone that shouldn't have had the info/photos/videos leaked the info/photos/videos or if an NDA was clearly broken. we don't delete if a product is out in public, if someone was careless with their hiding...
