12/22/2023 10:33am That spline has a lineage which I feel makes it the defacto standard. I think it goes back at least as far as the Magic Motorcycles cranks, so it became the CODA standard; FSA made Cannondale's cranks, and it was adopted Sram, Raceface and others, including me (https://www.digitbikes.com/concentric-bb). Here are the bones of my model:

12/18/2023 6:16am I am looking for any information about this Cannondale Moto carbon frame that I have. It is a 2010 that has Kawasaki and Monster graphics on it. I understand that in 2009 or 2010 Cannondale in partnership with Kawasaki auctioned a complete bike on ebay for charity. I am curious how many of these frames were produced. This frame doesn't appear to have ever been built into a complete bike. thanks for any help

12/18/2023 5:57am so frames are not rocket science because it is only about geometry- is that about right? What about kinematics or how components work with the frame such as suspension.

12/12/2023 12:41pm Bring it on, brakes can already fail in a dozen different ways so how is this any different? Electronics has come a long way and the extra sensors you can build in to the system could easily provide a bunch of useful features like pad wear monitoring, temperature warnings and rider coaching (like brakeace) Feedback can be built in to the system, and even tuneable so if you like a "shimano" feel more than a "sram" feel you could dial in a different force map without needing to shell out for completely new brakes. Crash damage is probably improved -...

12/11/2023 8:21am The only way I can see this being remotely safe, is that the default position is closed - being that if you run out of battery, the servo will return to the position in which the brakes engage. If you have them default open and something goes wrong on a descent and you try to brake...it's not going to end well. If they shut gradually, the worst that can happen is you have to push it out.

11/28/2023 12:57pm This is the most logical thinking that I have seen in the e-bike vs bike naming debate. I'm 100% on board with this. E-Moped or E-Ped are the only terms I am accepting at this point. Who's with me? lol

11/28/2023 12:40pm The naming convention was determined decades ago. Motorized pedal bikes were called mopeds, full human powered bicycles have and always will be bicycles.
