Started riding MTB as a kid back around 1989. Broke that bike a few years later and didn't get another until 1997, a Kona hardtail that was too small for me, low spec components. Eventually got a Marin Steel Hardtail in 1999, mid range spec (9 speed XT, Manitou 80mm fork and 26" wheels).
