I'm 5'8" and have been on the conservative side of short for about a year - 165. Previously on 175 my entire biking life (~20 years, I'm 34 just so we have all the metrics out there). After about a month, I got 165s for my gravel bike, too. I'd love to try 155s but it's not in the budget right now and I love the 165s. After a year, I've noticed numerous benefits that I'm confident are no placebo at this point. Mtb-wise, this year has been spent on the same bike and parts: Banshee Rune V3 w/same drivetrain...

Hey guys, bummer to see all the hate from a few of you but I guess that’s passionate fans in sporting. Here’s the reality. From my understanding and recent reading of the rules, There is not a rule that says you must petition. A petition just assures that you are considered. The rules basically say that USA cycling will pick, at their discretion, everyone who is not an automatic selection (national champ or top 3 in previous world champs). After that the rules just say that they will basically pick whoever is in the top 50 of the current WC...

Way to go Gwin….you don’t do what you are suppose to for a second year and you still are rewarded. Just shows rules only apply to certain people.

There's a few different ways to look at this, and given Gwin's response to not being named, it seems like this was just an oversight on his part. USAC is following their own rules, which is a good thing, and they are being consistent and clear. Also a very good thing. For the comments like "We need to remedy this" or "Fix this" I can't really agree with that. Of course, Gwin is one of the best in recent memory, but he hasn't been flat out the best American in the last three or so years. I blame the move...

Unfortunately Gwin is wrong in this situation. His first quote yesterday was nothing but lies. He missed the petition process last year as well and USAC needed fo contact him to see what his deal was. He knew he needed to petition but he thinks he is entitled and rules don’t apply to him. He also said he didn’t think anybody needed to petition unless they won national champs which he didn’t do this year or in 2019. If USAC removes a rider and replaces him then it doesn’t say much for either person in this situation. I’ve lost all...

It almost seems like workers labor is undervalued by the people running the companies they work for. Like workers aren’t receiving a fair share of the value they generate for their firms. I’m just spitballing here.

You are actually free to have fun in NZ and ride how you want. Each lift pass comes with a guy ironically named Paver. He follows you around with a shovel. Keeps you happy and him employed.

Both. He only weighs 100lbs and had benefited from the fact that, among other hoaxes such as the pandemic and an election, gravity has turned out to be fake and he’s able to travel through space and time uninhibited.

Another suggestion for getting weight on the front wheel: a longer stem. I'm not advocating people go crazy and throw and 90mm behemoth on the front of their bike, but switching from a 35/40mm stem to a 50, you'll likely find it much easier to weight the front wheel with the same stack height.
