5/16/2025 10:20pm Cold cannot be the problem here. Do timing belts in cars break when its cold? I run a pinion/belt equipped fat bike all winter when its 0F and I have never broken a belt... The times I have broke a belt however, is after a rock strike. While all of the pinions have bashguards to protect the box, several of the bikes dont have anyway of protecting the belt specifically. If a rock kicks up and hits the belt, there's a good chance its damaged and can break. I have thousands and thousands of miles on gearboxes/belts and design bikes...

5/15/2025 3:58pm Some close up screenshots from the Vital pits bits video of the brakes. Caliper appears to be forged which could mean the die is ready? CNC/3d printing might have been easier if this was a prototype. Possibly mass produced in the near future. Banjo and hose looks like from SRAM Code. The split clamp is also very similar to SRAM's matchmaker right down to the T25 bolt. There are lever reach and bite point adjustments. Carbon lever suggests molds are ready to go.

5/15/2025 3:52pm Only based on how others do it. If that’s the way they’ve been designed then there’s a good chance its ok

5/13/2025 9:12pm There was also a couple shots of the Ohlins shock in there with a view to see more of what they have going on. Electric valve on the HSC circuit. Maybe we are getting close to them sharing the info on it.

5/9/2025 5:32pm Not quite yet, I'm going to wait until the next two sessions are complete before getting into that. After each run I record notes on general feel and "perception of speed" before looking at the actual time. It is already quite interesting in regards to the data, not the results I was expecting for this track. The shocks being tested are both Marzocchi Bomber CRs (Fluid Focus tune and Avalanche racing tune) and the Vorsprung Telum.

5/9/2025 5:32pm Apologies for the radio silence, the winter/spring transition was a tough one for the test track. There were some changes made to the testing protocol; the number of test shocks has been reduced from 5 to 3. I want the data to be as accurate as possible, and as such the shocks are all run on the same day back to back. Given that it is a self shuttle situation, it was just not possible to do 11+ runs/day without fatigue being a factor in the times. The pedal back to the start of the track is a steep 15...

5/8/2025 3:20pm Lol I cant wait for the comments of wealthy 200lb beginners say the USD Fox is not stiff enough for their riding when there is a 200lb pro racer taking golds on the fork.

5/8/2025 3:19pm We really, really need to bring the hammer down on this IP theft. Not only are they stealing ideas and patents from people who have spent good r&d money on developing their ideas, they haven't done the r&d, so there's far less understanding of the decisions that led to the original design. It's wholly unsafe and not to be mistaken for simply reverse engineering existing components. I don't understand why they can't just make new stuff???

5/7/2025 11:25am It's blatantly obvious that Lewis just straight up copies prestigious products with the objective of selling them to people who love the looks/bling factor of the absolute high-end stuff but don't want to pay for it. The structural integrity of the design has nothing to do with it.

5/6/2025 8:30pm I noticed some silver Crankbros wheels popping up, first in Brian Cahal's video on the new Ari Ebike, now on Commencal's Instagram. Hopefully these are releasing soon. Silver rims absolutely need to come back!
