I have a ribbon air, the performance is awesome, i really love it. Maintenance is easy too. The only thing i can't get along with, is the flexibility in the steep tracks where you need to pivot on your front wheel to corner (may it's my fault...i'm heavy...92kg naked). For everything else the fork is perfect, works really well and stay high in the travel, ramp control works really well and helps with steep tracks and jumps.

Have you watched SX dudes' heart rates through a moto? They don't suggest "I'm hanging back", especially those guys who are fighting for a qualifying position. To add, the level is so ridiculous through the paddock you've most certainly got guys going balls out for every minute of every race, qualifying, LCQ or final. You know what that sounds like to me? That's exactly what I thought. On a race weekend, riders spent less than 45 minutes on their bike. I mean, this only increases it by 3 or 4 minutes, but still. I think the bigger issue is if the courses can handle twice as many race runs. If the MTB flat top chains have larger diameter rollers like the road stuff does, compatibility is out the window. But in any case, I'd much prefer the new cassettes and chains be compatible with the old derailleurs than the other way around. Riding an old bike without UDH means the new stuff is useless if it will be coaxial mount only while running the old stuff with the new chain without the stupid 42-52 jump would bring a happy middle ground. I'm still ready to go to battle to defend press fit BBs at every chance I get. The caveat with them is that the frame is manufactured _CORRECTLY_. I've been pretty unhappy with all my Fox products over the last couple years. From finding broken parts (IFP) in my fork to a tremendously unreliable X2 shock that costs $200 to rebuild. Only saving grace here is that Fox recognizes the issue X2 issues and has warrantied outside of the window for me which is appreciated. Does the 36 have the same grease problem as the 38? I'll likely be moving on to an Ohlins fork for the 2023 season.

No way this is true for two big reasons. 1) 10mm is not very much 2) It changes the head angle by about 1/2 degree. Many bikes have a 63 and change HTA. The Strive comes stock at 65 (?? I think) Overall, yes, you may notice pushing on the fork in the showroom floor it isn't as "easy to compress" but unless your HTA is under 62 (or likely more) it won't matter on trail. The "force vector" is back and up anyway. My guess is this had to do with improper air spring assembly, or just placebo. Regardless...

For some reasons Fox is so over hyped and despite this massive issue just showing how poor those products are, people keep on believing Fox is hot stuff. I think in the US that prices are similar to RS in which case, yeah that's where it belong, but here in France Fox stuff is probably 30% more expensive that RS and it certainly doesn't work any better, worse in my opinion.
