Jotegr Added a comment about bike check Norco Aurum HSP "Swim"
7/21/2025 8:31am The bike was offered in 29/29 alongside 27.5/27.5, I think making a mullet out of a 27.5 frame would not be a huge deal, I recall seeing an Aurum HSP on here that had been mulleted and they started with the 27.5 frame. Cascade Components used to make a DHX2 eyelet which might have worked on the 29er frame, I think they've discontinued it but I never measured to see if it would fit. Personally I'd be picking up the 27.5 if I wanted to do the project. PS - I am running one of your drop best clamps on...

7/18/2025 5:56am Weird euro stuff. It would have been like "we want the word pro because pro is about peak performance... propane is a fuel with high energy density and explosive power, can we use that word? What if we change pane to pain? like embracing the pain of a good workout or a really hard effort...?" Meanwhile, English speakers: "PROPAIN AND PROPAIN ACCESSORIES" Nowhere near as bad as the european trials world. "What bike do you ride?" "Oh I used to ride a Koxx but now I have a Crewkerz Cleep."

7/17/2025 8:21am Having seen what happened with Rocky and knowing the pricing on the back end of what some of their higher end bike were going for even in the worst of it, people getting a GX level Capra or Jeffsey for $2600 at the consumer level is absolutely insane. That's someone trying to free up cash flow as fast as possible. That's a two for one Kona process level fire sale.

7/17/2025 8:20am I promise you- a SuperDeluxe Ultimate costs a lot more than $79 USD/Euro to make... That was my product line for a long time- I have been to the factory and suppliers where they come from.

7/16/2025 3:20pm Most bike brands have been at the mercy of the big 3(ish*) for a few years now. Their orders are exponentially larger than the rest of the brands, and thus, due to whatever internal pressures they might be facing, drive the pricing we see today. YT is/was a disruptor, but they are still collateral damage as far as I can see. *major players differ by market

7/16/2025 2:29pm Technically I accounted for those guys when I included "creditor" in the gutted section. Pedantry aside, I didn't see that until right now and that sucks ass.

7/16/2025 1:59pm Beautiful, I didn’t expect anyone to care enough to archive that site. So yeah the address at the bottom of that page is the same address down to the suite number on Rocky Mountains LinkedIn. ”In 2009, the concept for a revolutionary electric drive system was presented to the design team at the company’s headquarters in Beauce, Québec. Propulsion Powercycle was created with the purpose of developing an innovative electric drive system which would be named Dyname.” This reads to me like “The Company” is Rocky Mountain, but I’d like to see the filings that explain the relationships. Okay Spomer...

7/16/2025 2:00pm Idontwannaderailthethreadmorebuthereyougo Dyname is the DBA of Propulsion Powercycle Inc. "The Company" would have been Procycle (as it then was), which later changed its name to Rocky Mountain when it dropped all of its weird ancillary stuff like Evox and Miele and (probably rightfully) refocused on Rocky Mountain. I think Rocky Mountain was a further chain below what's shown and Procycle...

7/16/2025 1:42pm I don't think anybody should be "gutted" by the reorg unless you're an effected employee, creditor or sponsored athlete impacted by this. If you're a bike fan/enthusiast, it should be relatively business as usual . Its not like the company is going away or even pausing operations, launches, etc. (unless they gut the race team, then we can all be...

7/16/2025 10:51am Also curious if he got the bike or just paid for it. The Reddit thread makes the timing of the recent flash sale sound very sketchy.

7/16/2025 10:50am I don’t mean to make light of a bad situation, but this felt inevitable. Anyone with any level of inside knowledge of the bike industry could look at YT from 30,000 feet and perhaps wonder if they have long had a money tree or maybe the operation was a money laundering front for the cartel.\ Some head scratchers, in no particular order: -Aggressively low prices (like...how is this possible low pricing) -Bloated SKU count (for them, its mostly the number of builds they have per model of bike) -Complex global supplier web (true for everyone, but their vendor count is...

7/16/2025 10:49am It seems like the chaotic variable pricing from many bike industry companies is not really helping the industry and only causes confusion and often resentment from customers. Dumping massive overstock or a big end of the year sale is one thing, but pricing that jumps around month to month is not the same. For example, when PUSH released the 9.1 it was $2600. Earlier this year it was "on sale" for 2-3 months at $2000, currently the price is $2250. If a customer had bought one for $2600, only to see it for $2000 a week later, I imagine they...
