1/29/2026 5:28pm It’s BS that eewings are so expensive and yet don’t come with a lifetime warranty IMO. If they’re billing them as a “buy it for life” crankset then they should back that up with a warranty. I have heard of at least one person bending them.

1/29/2026 5:34pm Ok, the fact the page describing the benefits of membership is behind the membership paywall is extremely funny.

1/28/2026 10:25pm It would be a total tragedy because we're finally in this utopia where you can have a quiver with totally mixed genre mtbs and be able to grab a wheel from any one in a pinch. (RaceFace or Hope hubs for 20mm conversion, tons of DH bikes now 148). I really don't plan to give that up even if the gains are more than marginal. At the end of the day it's all about no missed rides for me.

1/28/2026 2:40pm Rims aren't forever, but some Chris King and similar quality hubs sure feel close.

1/28/2026 2:38pm If any of those 2021/22 bike industry investors are looking to recover after getting crushed from the post-Covid sales slump, I have some mixed use commercial and residential properties that I'm putting on the market. **and yes Jeff, I realize this prop/facade joke isn't a fair apples-to-apples comparison for bike company valuations in 2021, like Rad Power estimated at $1.65 billion. But in hindsight... it sure feels like this.

1/28/2026 9:32am Manitou has selected this particular paint scheme to make it so German U-boats will be unable to accurately estimate Manitou riders' speed and heading.

1/28/2026 9:29am Had BOS suspension ever not been in a "phase of recovery" (in a manner of speaking) for the last 20 years? I am curious what legal mechanism "phase of recovery" is equivalent to, or if there is an adequate equivalency in the North American bankruptcy realm. Typically when a receiver or trustee is appointed, that's the beginning of the end...

1/27/2026 6:40pm Most of their end customers don't care about brand equity, a battery recall,or anything else going on with the brand. RAD was built on mobility solutions, of which there's still a market in need of. I think with the right leadership they'll bounce back relatively quickly.

1/27/2026 2:25pm Oh, and also, if there's a recall, you had better believe that Trek or Specialized or whoever is standing by their product and doing their best to make it right. None of that "you can buy a new battery if you want" utter bullshit Rad and CANYON have pulled. As upset as people were with Norco and Rocky when they...

1/27/2026 2:14pm For a company that just had their showroom catch fire last week (likely due to the dangerous batteries they couldn’t afford to recall) millions of dollars is a big reach, IMO. E-cargo is their market. They may have been early to “mindshare” in the space, but mindshare is worth nothing if you make a dangerous product. These days you can get a specialized or trek that does the same stuff, costs about the same, and doesn’t have a track record of catching fire and lawsuits from the parents of dead kids.

1/27/2026 2:14pm That's a soul-crushing sale price for Rad Power. I remember when I saw them valued at greater than a billion dollars I thought that was obviously a pipe dream, but to get sold off for $14m is wild.

1/26/2026 3:26pm I really wished they had launched this straight faced on April 1st. It's too bad they aren't European or they may have unironically launched in on April 1st as so many European companies did before them.
