I'm Chris from Alpine MTB Training. I coach mountain bikers and build training programs to be well rounded that meet the demands of the sport. Not just a strength program nor just an endurance program to follow on Zwift. Unfortunately this is the case with many programs you see out there. A comprehensive program covering strength, endurance, mobility and skills. You don't need multiple programs or subscriptions to improve each There are many options out there for mountain bikers. Best check around and contact the coaches which you think have a training philosophy that will work for you. I currently...

Non-racer Seattle area, but I like to be in shape for big rides. There really isn't an off season except avoiding rain storms mid-winter. Those are dig days. I used to pretty much ride all year and build my ass off in winter. I've got so much built up wear and tear from building and riding that now I really need to take a couple months off and let stuff recover. Lots of PT (which I do all year). Surf trips are a nice change of pace and good for the core. I really hope my aging body will let...

Hi! The off-season is a great time to improve your fitness and prepare for the next season. Well-planned strength training will improve your strength and stamina while riding. Each of us associates burning in the legs and pain in the hands from holding the bike during a long descent. The good news is that it can be improved with training! In the training programs that I design for my riders, I use many methods that not only improve overall fitness, but above all help to ride better and faster. On my website I publish a lot of free tips on...

Wonder why they didn’t mention moving away from trunnion. Wonder how well that much progression plays with air shocks..? Also, size specific chainstays seems like only a half-truth

Listened to a bit of the Ride Along podcast and realized Team Robot was clearly trying to send us a hidden message in the photo!!! The hands are a dead give away! One is clearly the NC State wolfpack gesture which is a similar species to a fox (aka Fox Factory). The other hand is in a rock-on gesture, so obviously Rockshox. Only “V” on his shirt is visible, which doesn’t mean anything, but when you combine it with the “DC” it forms “VDC” the abbreviation for voltage direct current which is the basis for any battery powered device, including...

More ground clearance? Sounds like a perfect job for IMBA, not bike engineers.

If you find such a chart, let me know! But currently that kind of info isn't widely (or even narrowly) available It would be a help to know more about what you would like from the new shock - is there something you don't like about the current one? And what kind of terrain are you riding Clearances is a big problem these days so a shock from a newer or higher level reign is an OK option as yo uknow it will fit, although Reigns don't usually have too much trouble. I would be very wary of used shocks...

Few more pics of the new sram drivetrain. Cog attaches to the cranks via 6-bolt (like on a road cranks). UPD: Sorry, I was asked to delete the pictures because the person who took them was warned off by his superiors. You know what I mean.

Nice bike but why on Earth would you spend big $$$ on such a high end frame and then wrap it in old used inner tubes? To each their own I guess

Side note: Interesting how there's basically only 3 Horst link vertical shock* bikes left on the market and all three of them were designed at least in part by Dan Roberts. Scott Gambler, RAAW DH and the Frameworks Prototype *fixed

If EXT would offer “custom tuned to the rider” as standard for their forks like they do with all their shocks, then ya I’d say its got the potential to be up there with the best.
