3/4/2023 8:12pm Same, I love what they are doing at Trinity and big fan of WRP but I couldn’t wrap my head around that price. I really wanted to try the steel front end along with the CNC rear end. I really enjoy trying frames, buying and selling but at $6k there’s no way it would hold any resale value. I hope they get some buyers, I’d be stoked to see them at the bike park.

3/4/2023 8:09pm To be thourough and precise: a) it’s a dh-bike; b) it’s an enduro bike as well; c) it’s a horst-link high-pivot; d) it can take a gearbox or the new prototype drivetrain in the future; e) it’s possible to order with custom geo; f) it’s essentially a cr-mo/alu Norco Range HP on steroids with dh-standards for rear hub and bb. So yeah, regretably it’s pricy, but totally understandable why!

3/4/2023 7:56pm Especially when the stated goal and result of the product is to independently tune high speed and low speed with our affecting each other. I’ll trust the actual engineer, not the “forum scientists.”

3/2/2023 5:26am It is because the open reference is not fixed, but the closed reference is fixed. It is due to tolerances. Count from closed - always.

3/1/2023 4:43am $1600 for a shock is crazy expensive. For that amount of money I would much rather buy a cheaper shock (like a RS) and spent a few days with a tuner to get a revalve for my speed and weight, and have a better performing shock overall.

3/1/2023 4:42am Sample size of one. I’ve run X01 AXS and GX AXS for the last 3 seasons with precisely one dropped chain that I recall, from a crash.

2/28/2023 6:48am I really liked the Strive platform, the suspension really impressed me and I think the shapeshifter is cool for big days on the bike. BUT, having raced in Tasmania before I felt like the Spectral would be better suited for those rounds with it being more nimble, for me. With the long break after the first block I think I'll have plenty of time to get used to the Strive for the Euro rounds.

2/22/2023 5:58am Next one trying to revive this thread. I still need to build holdes to attach the potentiometers to the bike but that should be done during the next couple of days. Currently only reading the potentiometer data and GPS. Everything is running on a RasPi Pico with uSD card adapter and ublox GPS module. Currently working on downloading the data via wifi.

2/20/2023 4:34am Hey Folks, I too have begun working on a version of this project. I went with a Sparkfun Openlog Artemis as a brain. This has the benefit of coming with some open-source logging firmware out of the box. I'd like to move towards something like the nrf52840 eventually, to take advantage of Bluetooth functionality as alek-91 mentioned. So far, I'm using two ICM20948 IMUs and two VL53L1X Lidar sensors. I haven't gotten a GPS wired in yet, but looking to do that next. I'm looking to add steering angle and bike pose to the mix, alongside suspension. Here are a...

2/19/2023 5:45am “For some reason the pics were removed from Pinkbike” - the reason being that there’s an embargo on the release, which true to form they ignore by “accidentally” posting stuff to open pages while they prepare their articles…time and time again. “Oh we’re sorry this happened….again… [insert facepalm]…”

2/17/2023 7:55pm I’m running a Tractive Super D air and it’s awesome! Running it on a Hightower V2 and since that bike can only run air it’s the closest i think I can get to the traction for days coil shocks. This bike is fast as hell now tho. The way it can generate speed AND track the terrain is pretty amazing
