6/20/2024 10:01am I've seen zero evidence of aluminum frames being recycled. I ran bike shops for 10 years and never saw a recycling program. I still have never seen a hint of a recycling program, not at local shops and not at manufacturers. There is no link on manufacturer websites to "recycle your aluminum frame here" . Aluminum is recyclable, but with no public easily accessable way to do it, the rate of it actually happening is likely close to zero.

6/15/2024 3:37am There are quite a few user reviews now in this MTBR thread (that links to page three, there are nine more pages of reviews and discussion after). Simonetti has one for review. We have them out for review at a number of other outlets too.

6/14/2024 6:28am I’ve always understood less damping = more tire traction at the cost of chassis control, bottoming out etc. always within reason of course- a pogo stick will bounce off the ground and lose traction. The race tech suspension bible had some good graphic representation of that.

6/13/2024 12:21pm I am reviewing the Lewis LHT front and rear brake with the lewis 200 mm front rotor and a 180 mm rotor in the back I am also running the Lewis brake pads. I weigh 186 lbs. Full disclosure I paid full MSRP for these brakes. I placed an order for the bleed funnel, rotors and front and rear brakes. They arrived at my door from China in 11 days. They were packaged very nice and in a protective manner. Customer service was great and responded within 24 hours every time. I am running them on an ibis Ripmo AF...

6/13/2024 12:19pm So I've got a few rides on the Lewis LH4 brakes and they've been pretty great thus far. A few things about me: - I'm 6'4 and about 280lbs kitted up. - Bike is a 2020 Rocky Mountain Slayer A50 29". Was previously using SLX 4pot brakes with Galfer 220/200 rotors. - I live in Calgary and my home trails are in the eastern slopes of the Rockies, but I also ride in the Columbia Valley (Invermere, Panorama), the Purcells (ie - Mount 7, Kicking Horse), and the Kootney's (Revelstoke), but also make it further west to Kamloops, Sun Peaks...

6/12/2024 6:26am I've seen these scuba diving weights added to the Atherton frames. I've been running them on some frames that feel too light. When adding the weight it feels a bit more planted and breaks away the suspension a little bit easier when unweighted.

6/7/2024 4:12pm The Cotic built frame used 38.1 mm of tubes for tt/st/dt. The dt being the same one they used on their Rocket Max. This new front end was built by Adam Prosise (formerly worked for Reeb now building stuff out of his own shop under Prosise Metal Works). I would guess that he used the Velospec 44.5mm tube with a 1-.7-.9 butting or Fairing also makes a 44.5mm .9 straight gauge tube. That is the beefiest commercial available tube of reasonable weight. Next bigger option would be to internally relieve a 50.8mm 1.2mm tube on a lathe. I would expect...

6/1/2024 10:27am If your rebound is too slow then it can make matters worse, because your fork or shock will pack up and ride in the middle of the stroke bumping up against the progression point, causing harshness. If your rebound is too fast then yea, it's going to bounce you around all over the place, but too slow is just as bad. It being too slow was worse for me than too fast, too fast was a control issue but didn't cause pain as much as arm fatigue. This also assumes your spring is setup properly. Some suspension products won't fully...

6/1/2024 10:25am I have major nerve problems in both of my arms. I had Ulnar transposition surgery on both arms to release the nerve in my elbow where conduction studies showed damage, the surgeon said the nerve was badly compressed. It was to the point I was losing dexterity and control over my left hand and probably soon would on the right. I've spent probably 7 years and a lot of money trying just about everything on the market to help and the last year scrambling to find a solution to the latent issues I have, because not doing so would (and...
