4/16/2024 8:16pm Alright. I wanna pick some brains a little. Back in the day, Wakidesigns, a user on pinkbike, made his own post discussing his drawn design of a bike that he saw as futuristic. This post was in 2014. He wrote that the bike would have active suspension that can be adjusted via a screen mounted on/in the frame. Now I chuckle at this because it was suppose to be a wild take on a bike. The geometry was suppose to be big, the electronic suspension idea was to make you say “yeah sure whatever”. But, the bike is actually not...

4/15/2024 9:31am After PB gave MRP's fork "product of the year" I recommended it to my friend (140mm version) and it was a lemon. X percentage of them have something off with their bushing tolerances and are super sticky. MRP warrantied it, but then after a few rides the negative air chamber started leaking, and they sent him a complimentary seal kit that he hasn't bothered to install, he just replaced the fork. I've asked several people for reviews of the Bartlett, I've seen several publications post on social media that they are reviewing it, but then no review ever materializes. I'm...

4/15/2024 9:30am Wow, the whole 'first' thing is really embarrassing marketing. In no particular order, Fox, RS, MRP, Lauf, probably others I'm forgetting make suspension gravel forks. If you wanted to be the first inverted gravel fork, sure, but that isn't what they're actually saying anywhere. Not sure how many of those forks anyone else is selling, either...

4/15/2024 7:58am A dropper would be nice for the tuck but I imagine it wouldn't leave much room for a hidden motor in the seat post.

4/15/2024 7:57am Reply from Neko to Cam. The DHX has a larger shaft size so can effect ride feel. Frameworks most is most likely on a custom tune, so the limited HSC/HSR adjusters probably aren’t a big deal.

4/15/2024 7:53am The 2.5" DHR2 has been around the race pits for years as a pro-only tire, so it's exciting to see it finally released to mere mortals like us. The 2.4 DHR is a noticeably smaller casing than any of Maxxis 2.5 tires, which makes it kind of a weird match when you're running one of each. I'm running a 2.5 Assegai up front and a 2.4" DHR2 in the back, so I'd totally buy a 2.5" DHR2 when mine wears out. Of course it doesn't matter much, it's 0.1", but I'm a fanboy and I'd rather have the bigger volume...

4/15/2024 7:37am He responded and said it's a dhx. He got asked why not a dhx 2 and Neko said he liked the numbers they were getting with the dhx tuned for the bike. All that makes sense to me, if the shock is tuned for the rider/ bike combo there is less need for the extra adjustment of the x2.

4/15/2024 7:37am It looks just like a DHX. He might be trying different tunes for Fox. Or might be trying something custom (Avalanche or the likes).

4/11/2024 10:18am All of the product that we received was provided to each of us at the event, there was an entire classroom-sized group of us from all around the world so nothing about this launch was inexpensive for them. We weren't asked to give any glowing reviews of anything or told what to (or not to) say, they were extremely open and honest about every question thrown at them and gave us the opportunity to ride at different places each day of presentations then asked us to try everything at our regular riding spots back home to really notice the difference...

4/11/2024 10:18am Guarantee product managers/marketers who launched this Tuesday (trying to get the sea otter jump) regret it. It was overload and I’m surprised there wasn’t more coordination with media to prevent it. (I work in a marketing adjacent field and had a campaign launch the week prior, a bit over sensitized w/ launch dates). Maybe analytics prove me wrong, but on Monday I’m already trying to escape work with bike distractions. Non-bike inbox stuff I mass delete.
