11/13/2025 8:39am Fair. You make some points. Yes back to rumors. I dont know if its anything, but the standard Trance on Giants website is kind of missing. All they have are framesets. Also not a bad price for the frame I gotta say.

11/12/2025 6:09am I replaced a Kryprotal Fr SS DH with a SS Enduro this season and as a 160lb rider I like the Enduro one better. I feel like it grips better for me because I can actually get the casing to conform to the ground. Even for park riding the DH casing was on the stiff side for me unless I was pushing the pace. Interestingly the Enduro SS is made in Germany.

11/11/2025 10:07pm just to clear it up, JKW killed his first podium due to user error, loading 2 bikes on a rack such that the pedal of one was rubbing the podium stanchion. It sounds like the replacement one is also leaking now, thus he's back on a Z1 for the time being. fwiw, my podium hasn't had any issues with oil leakage, though I'm certainly not beating on it to the extent he is. On pricing for lower legs, idk how available those are retail yet but msrp from Fox is 263$ a leg for factory and 210$ for performance. It's...

11/11/2025 1:43pm Resident Korean resident here 1. Things to do on bikes... RIDE!!! The race weekend is also the start of the bike park season locally. There are three parks within an hour of each other, two within five minutes. Alpensia Bike Park is literally right next to Yongpyong. The parks here a different from Europe, smaller and still growing. Wellihilli is further west at lower altitude and has fun runs. You could also ride in/near Seoul. We ride year round here and the outskirts of Seoul have some fantastic singletrack. Even some rock slabs with epic views on the eastern edge...

11/6/2025 12:45pm I like the trend of bikes coming out with adjustable dropouts to change rear center lengths. It's been fun playing around with different dropout lengths with my Kavenz and it looks like Banshee, Crestline and Transition (with their new bottlerocket) have something similar going on. I wonder if eccentric bottom brackets will ever be a thing. I think a few...

11/5/2025 3:18pm Have had a few rides on radials. MM trail pro US up front Albert gravity pro soft rear. Albert's feel like a much faster rolling assegai. Kind of reminds me of a more sure footed dissector v1/eliminator. Driftier than a DHRII which I kinda enjoy. We'll see how it handles on some steeper terrain as I'm moving from softer compound...

11/5/2025 12:25pm What tires / casings are you currently running? I'm up on the NorCal coast where local conditions look similar to what I've seen in SoCal videos - hardpack with a coating of powder / loose sand / gravel. I personally found the MM to be too squirmy for this - the rubber itself is quite soft and the side knobs are pretty small. I'd suggest taking a good hard look at the High Roller 3 in DH or at least DD. The side knobs are burly, and the center tread is open enough to penetrate loose over hard (especially decomposed...

11/5/2025 11:17am Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

11/5/2025 11:14am I’ve got Maven Base and Dominions. Not a lot of difference in power but the Dominion lever point doesn’t wander in and out as much. I like the Dominions better. The stupid Maven levers are slick like ice. Actually had my finger slip off on a steep turn and broke my face something good. I had to put grip tape on the levers. Looking forward to putting the Dominions on this newer bike once I have a chance.

11/2/2025 11:12am Vital article from a while back at the Chinese bike show this year. Chatted with my local shop in regards to WR1 and they aren’t doing frame replacements unless catastrophic failure. Frames are being sent to a company in Vancouver for carbon repair. Molds apparently are being sold to Sava Cycles and they will be flying the bikes under them and not WR1. Below pictured is the proto dh WR1 but now Sava will be bringing it to production in the distant future.

11/2/2025 7:00am From a commenter on PB: “ Everyone needs the hear the facts. Markus flossman is an egotistical freak and scammer. After insolvency there was a handshake deal for YT USA to purchase exclusive brand rights and be independently operated. Truth is Markus couldn’t stand the idea of US branch not being under his control. Continued to shoot over shitty deals, 1 year contracts, and insane royalty payments. We as a staff chose not to sign up for a shitty deal that would ultimately kill us anyways. Everyone thinks private equity killed this brand. That’s wrong. Markus single handedly killed YT...

10/30/2025 12:05pm The assertion that e-bikes decrease fitness is widespread. On the surface, the reasoning appears sound: riders often feel like they have expended more energy after a normal ride compared to an e-bike ride. Therefore, normal bikes must provide superior fitness benefits, right? Not quite. This surface-level analysis misses several crucial insights about how fitness actually works. Let's start with a simple fact: work done is work done, regardless of the bicycle beneath you. If you maintain the same effort level on an e-bike as you would on a traditional bike, you'll simply travel farther in the same time. In this...

10/29/2025 11:39am genuine question, how hard is it to get support for intend n NA? either full service or parts for DIY? It always scared me off of niche Euro based product. I've been more likely to consider Push, simply because they are this side of the ocean.

10/28/2025 9:47pm Curious... Im on the opposite case.. vorsprung recommendation was a way lower spring rate than what I was using, on a spire.... and it's also the case on my Madonna V3 now.. Ihad lots of back and forth with them on this.. the most important setup difference though was rebound... I think I drifted towards slowish the past 2-3 years.. and the Telum setup with faster reb , lower spring rate and more compression is an eye opening experience.. I did force the turns on the valving to be able to use the rebound at the reommended setting but with...
