Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
A friend of mine went to Snowshoe a few years back and said the same thing: free above the finish line.
Does anyone know what the deal is regarding ticket requirements for the XC races? I've never spectated at one before, but we're planning to go along as we're there anyway.
I would think would depend on the layout. If there are stands for the xc then those seats would most likely be ticketed to sit in. MSA didn’t have them and you could walk around and watch from anywhere.
Over the years I have been to 2 x World Champs in Australia (Canberra and Cairns) which where both ticketed.
Leogang in 2014 was free to enter but is now ticketed.
Val Di Sole in 2017 was ticketed and the World Champs will be ticketed.
Lenzerheide in 2025 was ticketed.
pretty cool look into the South Korean scene with Sascha Kim (seemed fitting for this thread)
As a Korean American, I'm pretty stoked that the world cup is heading to South Korea. On every team's bingo card should be:
- Korean BBQ
- Soju Bombs
- Korean fried chicken
- Karaoke rooms
- Spa house lol
And take a trip down south to ride GoChang after the World Cup
Korean BBQ and fried chicken should be on everyone's weekly bingo card.
The race organiser plans to post an announcement on their website in about a week regarding the tickets going on sale.

I saw on my social media morning tour this morning that quite a few well known pro DHers have just landed in Korea. And also the course builder is out at the resort where the race is and there's A LOT of snow!
Woke up to this and was like WTF and then saw who posted it 😂
This also got me until I saw the poster. I did go to the reg UCI account to confirm. Well done on that graphic.
Looks like it's melting on the XC course but don't know how that relates to the dh track
It gets better
Bit of a repost from another thread I started.
I’m in Korea April 25-May 5.
Transiting Seoul - Venue May 1 and venue - Seoul May 4. Not sure where everyone else is but open to splitting a larger van taxi etc to get out there.
Can I ask who's posting the XC course build?
You can check live webcams to see some of the snow situation.

Base Overview is where the XC course will be. The treeline in the center of the shot is where some of those photos were taken.
Mega Green Slope is where the DH finish area will be or the track will run through it.
It was another dry winter, so most of the snow is man-made. The forest areas aren't going to be very thick, mostly over-spray. The open slopes is another story. By the end of April, the majority of the snow is usually melted off, mainly still around in areas that get afternoon shade. They're planning to bring in heavy equipment to clear anything that's in the way. The lower area is going to be snow-free.
There are about four more weeks for things to melt off, so not really a worry... yet
Portuguese rider Francisco Pardal (@frank_pardal on instagram) has been posting some stories of the build.
Thanks! I follow Frank and hadn't seen anything.
Locals are definitely worried about the XC course as there hasn't been much news or social media of the build leading up to it. There is some PTSD from F1 doing a one-and-done race 😆
Theo, Brendog and Jack Moir are on the dh track. Looks like parts are melting quickly.
Yessss, it's coming together!!
Ticket information is up for the race.
You're going to ride a shuttle bus to the base of the DH track or take the gondola up and walk down. No word on whether the Rainbow chairlift will be limited to riders/staff.
You might have trouble accessing the Naver site or paying, but at least you can see the pricing and some details.

I am trying to buy tickets and cannot get my US phone number to work and my carrier is not listed. If anyone is successful can you please post or DM me with how you did it successfully.
Thanks
Just created an account to purchase tickets and had my Naver account suspended. Apparently it's because I joined from an abuse suspicious location 🤔. A most auspicious start.🤣
I was just able to make an account and buy the tickets and got my QR code codes not quite sure how I did it. On one of the times I tried it did not ask for my phone provider and I was just able to put in my phone number from the US. It is not easy in my experience.
What a deal!

"Unlimited draft beer"
This is pretty cool, too. Fuck chainsaws.
Hopefully that gets worked out my experience with naver was everything was suspicious
I just selected the first option for a carrier and it worked.
Lots of other parts of the form were a struggle though. Finally got through with an American phone number and credit card. All set!
choice ticket + fan zone ticket looks the best option?
Naver doesn't like non-Korean IP addresses. It's an amazingly convenient website and ecosystem for residents, but for non-residents... Unfortuantely, I haven't seen any other place to purchase tickets. "Naver only" is an "interesting" move for pre-sale.
