If I remember correctly, in a podcast Greg said that his deal includes after he retires, running the team, developing the bike. I would imagine he wants to have a similar role like Peaty does with Santa Cruz.

in our interview w/ him earlier this year he made it clear he'd still be involved w/ the team even if not racing at the WC level.

Not to sound like a dick but I hope most people ignore this. 1) Martin is one of one. You don't ride a bike like him and neither do I. 2) According to the telemetry data I've seen, most (good) riders do in fact use their brakes for ~85% of a descent. Even Neko just noted at the WC level guys are on their brakes 80% of a run. 3) The whole point of a brake is to take kinetic energy and turn it into thermal energy. The more "room" a system has with respect to heat management, the better...

On the Propain Website you can already spec the Enduro Supersoft Contis, haven‘t seen that elsewhere.

Nooooo. Please don't tell me that same BS nomenclature is now going to migrate over to cable operated components as well. I'm not sure I can take it.

There's something comforting in knowing that no matter where you are or the level you ride, it will always be wonderful weather before and after a weekend, but rain on your ride 🙄

We knew it was coming, but still sad to see. I'm afraid I think we'll see a few more of these announcements before the year is out.😪

I wish people would quit using the F1 comparison. Supercross/MX is a little closer, but both are still worlds beyond where MTB is. Some quick googling informs me that the 2024 F1 team budget is $135 million per year and that EXCLUDES driver salaries and the salaries of the three highest paid employees. A friend of mine worked for one of the top 450 teams in SX/MX and that was a $20 million/year operation which included the salary of two riders. Between the racing formats, they do what, 31 race weekends a year in moto?!?! 14 rounds in F1. And...

are the downvotes based on? cause i'm talking facts here, oh let's remember the 28gr for a udh, so at the axle, Gx vs GX t-type you have ( cassette + deralieur ) 738gr vs 936gr, so 200gr of extra unsprung weight, on a total of 219gr more for t- type, now on XO is 370gr, so the huge (100gr) weight saving on the frame are not only gone but gone right at your rear axle, nice

I think it looks awful and definitely going backwards. I don't like anything Scott is doing, but the current Gambler is one of the best looking dh bikes out there right now.

Am I the only who thinks Scott is going backwards with the hidden shock? Sure it helps with a somewhat sleek look but it just seems like a pain to adjust a dial here or two…

I like the idea of it being an Evil, just because I feel like they haven't done anything interesting in ages. They could use a bit of a shake up.

on the other site, they posted an interview with Bryn Atkinson and this quote from Shimano product manager for mtb drivetrain Nick Murdick: " I actually think that probably most mountain bikers don't want electronic shifting on their bike today. And I think that making a solid XT mechanical group is one of the most important things for us to get right in the coming years." also basically confirmed that new saint is still in the works.
