You're showing quite a bit of blindness I think. Palazarri is from Sardinia, pretty hard to drive through the Mediterranean sea to Fort William. And if you take the boat, it's probably a 30-40hr trip in total! Plenty of people ride WC tracks before/after the races there, But doing so 7 days out from the race, when the course is marked and taped etc.. is pretty unheard of. So Davide was right to be pi**ed. I am completely on the other end of the spectrum here. Martin Maes is the only validation I can think of right now. I have done quite a few Enduro races in my day (30 years wrenching, riding, and racing) and I have run 180 rotors front and rear forever for my Enduro bike. Currently on Galfer Shark rotors (standard Thickness) and Galfer Pro pads in Magura MT5 E-Stops (Just an MT5 with silver caliper piston pucks instead of black ano and stupid plastic color rings) with the HC brake lever option. I have never felt like I needed more...

Here's an interesting little bit of information from the ongoing bankruptcy proceedings of Wiggle/CRC: as part of the public process, the administrators have published a list of debts owed by Wiggle/CRC...there are some huge amounts on this list, they pretty much owe money to every cycling brand in the world and then some...but they also still owe Sam Hill GBP 35k (and his mechanic, Jacy, is owed GBP 4k). Team manager Nigel Page must have seen it coming because he apparently got his HAHA. He could just be done with racing World Cups at this point and not racing. He wasn't all that competitive over the last couple of years and had at least one scary injury. I know from listening to Olly on RC podcast that their crew enjoys being at the races, but might enjoy going to the races and not having to actually race as well. Can get great content that way and film some riding off course at the venues like Olly has done in the past.
