The municipal news in portuguese say that some events are cancelled (first half of the list) but the second part of the list (on which the WC is included) says that they recommend the organizers of those events to postpone said events. Bummer if it gets canceled, had everything booked to be there...

Also, only one male rider has won a World Cup in his debut year in Elite. That was Gee Atherton at Round 3 in Schladming, back in 2004. Both Greg and Sam won their first WC in their 2nd year of elite. Nicolas Vouilloz won a World Cup as a Junior (the first ever World Cup in 1993), and then won his second race as a 2nd year elite in 1995. I think Kye A'Hern is also on Vivid, but not Brosnan, maybe related to the use of 29" wheels (diferent shock lenght and stroke to mantain/alter the geometry) since both Wallace and A'Hern are on 29ers and Vivid and TB is on 650b and Deluxe. EDIT: just saw that A'Hern is with the Deluxe now but I do think he was with the Vivid previously...
