It's just nice to see them finally making a slow creep towards a more modern f/r ratio, though a 460+mm stay option in large and xl sizes would have been welcome. The 450mm is a step in the right direction for the size large at least, xl is still a bit whack.

Higher stack, not overly long, better ratio XL bikes (1.8-1.82 range)

Heres a Vid of the suspension in action...this something I have been meaning to get done for a few months now but have been so busy with experimenting with a number of different front suspension configurations with 27.5 and 29 front wheels, fork travels of 160mm 180mm and 200mm giving total travels of 215mm 235mm and 255mm and their associated steering geometry's. I have settled on a Fox40 setup of 180mm travel with a Smashpot coil conversion with the Blue secondary spring and a 60lb main spring....the X2 damper remains as received but I am finding it best to run...

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

Heres a quick Video on the dual suspension on the Zerode G3 being pushed through its respective travels…..180mm of the Fox40 and 55mm of the Link suspension….. I plan on doing a few vids of the suspension working in on trail action…videoing is not one of my better skill sets so its taking awhile to sort out….

Aston and Cahal have their quirks but calling them mediocre riders is complete BS. Both of those guys rip. Also 435 chainstay on a modern XL mtb is a joke IMO. Especially for a frame that costs $4k.

I can't remember if it's been mentioned, but sounds like the Forbidden e-Dreadnought will be aluminum and they're also working on a short travel bike.

These forks were on display at an event in Europe. They’re 160 mm according to the eMTB YouTube channel that covered the event. Can’t remember more than that off the top of my head.

For all you forum diehards who skip the homepage, here is some insight and our thoughts on Specialized first-gen proto downhill bike that went live today - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/piece-bigger-puzzle-testing-specializ… It was a privilege to ride this bike and, as you'd expect, it was a damn fast. I'm eager to ride the production #2chainz bike, which I'd guess is coming early next year just based on the vague answers Spesh has given when pressed about it. Fingers crossed it won't cost an organ to buy one.
