Really like their numbers, with the steep sa and short chainstays. Bet they're a fun ride. They seem really focused on customer service. Crossing my fingers they put a longer travel emtb together (170ish)

Yeah, it looks fun. Maybe not two stroke on the pipe GNCC fun, but fun. One thing I keep trying my hardest to do is reframe the whole e-bike question without all my previous bias. The thing I keep hearing over and over is "trail access", and honestly I was quick to jump on that bandwagon. ...but when I think about it, I'm not sure this really holds much water. A little context to this may help. The GNCC series a couple years ago began allowing ebikes to be ridden to pre-ride the race course to scope lines etc. Before that, riders were allowed to ride the course on bicycles, but being a GNCC moto/atv course, it was brutal. The ebikes allowed riders to get around easier, saving energy for the race. There are literally hundreds of ebikes at the GNCC races already. Kids, dads, pro racers, everyone has them! I like it. I still don't quite understand the hate for e-bikes. I mean, I understand the argument against them and I'm willing to concede that they are technically "motorized cycles," but to compare any e-bike to a true motorcycle is a big stretch, at least in terms of power and destruction.

I bought my dad his first Ebike after his heart attack so that instead of deteriorating he can get better doing something, anything. He is onto his second bike, my mom now also has one and the entire family goes on riding holidays together. I can totally relate to this video and experience.

Ran into some of the original mountain bikers in Marin County one day and they were on ebikes. Pulling wheelies and having a good old time. Great to see that getting old doesn’t mean you have to stop doing what you love.

I wouldn’t worry about trail access issues boys......The E-Bike consortium is going to be so big in 5 years that they’ll be able to lobby .....not only for complete trail access- but that all trail users (hikers, horses, mtb) must yield to E-bike riders at all times. #ifyoucantbeatthemjointhem

Cool video. I'm 38 and although I've ridden with my dad on his eBike and my kids on their bikes, I've never put us all together for a ride. That would be sick - I'm inspired to do it now...

This really devolved quickly. Everyone has an opinion and that is ok. If you dont like ebikes then dont buy one. If you do like ebikes, go buy one. I think the fear of trails closing due to ebikes may be a little unfounded. Here in Colorado each area is doing studies, then making a decision on ebikes specifically. Maybe I am being the fun police here but the name calling is absurd. Let the McCauls earn their paychecks. Everyone has to make a living.

I can assure you they were NOT paid for this, in fact Cam paid to have it filmed properly out of his own pocket. Trek would slap a fat logo on this if they were paid you dumbass. Maybe their dad didn't ride bikes with them when they were younger because they mostly rode jumps. Just because Pat looks like a beginner (which he is to mtb) doesn't mean shit.
