I just love how no matter what INTENSE does you all have some negative comments!!! How about this? How about we wait and see what happens?? What a novel idea!! If INTENSE did nothing you we say "great, another season same bike". If INTENSE creates something new "that thing is hideous and will be shit". How about we at the very least applaud the brand for trying something new? It takes a bold person to step out with a different approach AND this is DH racing, not like DH racing sells bikes? Unless AG, Seth or DAK do really well...

Glad to see the IFR machine still rolling along, I don't think there are many founders that love DH racing as much as Jeff Steber. "Passion" is the most overused term I think we can all agree, but my god does he love racing and testing bikes and building frames and the constant quest for gains. I think we can all admire that and wished there were more of that in the race world.

That's not what he's advocating them for though - he says recovery days, in other words days when you want to stay in i1/i2, which an ebike is perfect for, having more freedom where you can ride on days when you need to restrict your HR. Where I live, it's all up or down, so in the past it was go hard or stay home and rest, where with an ebike I can have those intermediate days, keeping it easy but still getting to go up into the mountains and come back down on the fun trails. I am no athlete or anything but I know a few (if that counts) base fitness is built by a constant BPM , not spikes like you talk about. That's why road training is good (or now, Ebike)

Apparently everyone forgot to tell these two nobodies that ebikes are only for losers and old fat guys. Haha Seriously though, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Percent of people who hate ebikes before they try one: ~100% Percent of people who hate ebikes after they try one: ~0%

You aren't wrong here. 20+20 = not much time to move. That said, both of us are "part of the problem" if we are going downhill so fast we can't avoid whoever is around the corner ahead. Blazing by a hiker who is cowering out of the way isn't exactly a positive for trial access...regardless of if there is a collision. This is exactly what is leading to trail issues (and potential closures) more-so than E-Bikes IMO. E-Bikes are just easier for us to go "them, THEM! Those are the guys causing problems!" Shades of grey I suppose... What is...

So K-Dub (the mountain bike kind, not #14 moto kind) texted last night "hey, i know you guys are getting blasted on e-bike stuff, but i have this video..." He included a link to his video from the first e-bike race that is AMA-sanctioned. AMA is American Motorcyclist Association. This e-bike race was held during an off-road moto/atv event in Georgia. The blasting Kyle's referring to is probably that vid w/ Cam and Tyler McCaul and their dad riding an e-bike. It has like 33 comments. What is this? Pinkbike all of a sudden? I don't really care about...
