10/17/2022 7:11am A hint at The future of World Cup MTB? Finishing a race run in a damp car-park with no one around to care ... being a little melodramatic, but EWS has stagnated so much since the 2019 season IMHO.

10/17/2022 7:10am Re: paywall thing. I actually don't think people are against having to pay for content - it's a pretty standard model nowadays. The crux is that we already have great content AND it's free. So if Discovery give equally great content that requires payment, then this is still, overall, a worse situation than we are currently in. The only way it would work is better content. Given the evidence from EWS coverage, worse content that we have to pay for seems to be a genuine possibility. And I think that is why people are (rightly) worried.

10/15/2022 1:41am You really think Atherton would just let him go after such a fantastic season? Besides, I know for a fact that there was serious talk at Scott wheter they even want to keep up the commitment to DH racing. Seems like an odd maneuver for them to hire another racer at a point when they couldn't even be sure if...

10/14/2022 1:44am Would have to be the Capra I'd think. Have owned a few Jeffsy's and while they are great trail bikes, I don't think I'd want to bash one down an EWS course at elite race speeds. Geo is a bit dated as well, the current model was introduced in 2019 and was pretty conservative even then.

10/14/2022 1:40am Which, again, is also ESPECIALLY weird because the Enduro's frame has multiple structural engineering flaws and is about the weakest and least durable enduro mtb that money can buy right now.

10/14/2022 1:31am It's possible in theory, but in practice it's a huge waste of time and money. The welding will decrease the structural integrity of the aluminium, so the frame would have to be heat treated again afterwards. That comes with it's own set of problems, as it could easily warp the frame out of alignment. On top of that you'd need...

10/11/2022 12:03pm I suspect this discussion and many other digressions here are mostly due to rhe lack of exciting new really ... Since I don't plan to own one anytime soon and consider a new trail bike and DH bike, anyone has some info about the new GT Sensor and Fury ? The pictures showed frames that look pretty close to final product and yet zero release or info.

10/5/2022 2:22pm With rumours of Norco coming out with three bike redesigns, sight, optic, aurum, maybe they put more money into development and carbon molds and put less financial resources into racing.
