I'm 160 (72kg). I run a soft setup, both tires and suspension. Haven't had a whole lot of squirming or rolling of the tire but sometimes do get some cross hatching marks on the rear sidewall suggesting I am flexing the tire quite a bit. We do not have a lot of high G force berms or jumps with high...

wow, that's low pressures for the rear, even in the wet i keep 28psi for the albert trail at 81kg riding weight, i went down to 27 today as it was slick as but i kept hearing banging noises on roots compressions/landings so pumped it up again

Anyone tried both Krypto FR Supersofts and Magic Mary radials for a comparison? I've been really keen on the Krypto FRs since they came out but am curious to go back to the modern Mary, which I ran in Whistler for a few seasons before moving on to the Gwin Onza's.

Been on Albert trail soft rear at 23 psi and MM trail super soft front 21 psi for a bunch of rides now. I dig it. The hookup is sweet- tons of confidence leaning and braking and turning hard under load. Unlike some others, these tires feel to me like they roll as fast or faster than my prior DHF...

I have not watched many of the numerous Fox Podium reviews as I try to avoid the influencer type content, but came across this from JKW and it reminded me of something I noticed when first swapping from a traditional to inverted fork; the front brake seemed to work better. Same brake, same wheel, same tire, same trails; it simply felt like there was more control and braking traction available with the inverted fork. With the overbuilt crown and large upper legs required to get the desired level of torsional stiffness comes an increased fore/aft stiffness which can be felt...

The "weeping" from the windows of the crown is not very common, and mostly traced to customers who pressure wash their bikes. They stopped pressure washing, and we stopped seeing a problem. As for this specific fork, it could be residue from assembly, or it could be other factors. In each case, it's a temporary factor that, if cleaned, goes away. This is something we didn't experience in testing over the years, but it is something that we have seen in a handful of customer forks. We were able to recreate it here in our test lab via several experiments...

20 minutes was too much, the proto was finished 10 minutes before being ridden.

Just came here to publicly thank @jeff.brines for his analysis on Fox a few pages back. That post led me to doing some additional research and due diligence, which then led me to execute a sizable Buy order and realizing an 18% gain in very short time. I would have never looked at Fox stock otherwise. Cheers Jeff!

You know what? That makes perfect sense. After years of watching Megavalanche and seeing the winners and their rigs, I had a sneaking suspicion that most of the people are over-biked. The hardest part of the race is the first 1/4, then it turns into a hardcore XC/trail race. Hugo figured it out; just get past the glacier and first rocky bits, then it's smooth sailing, but that requires an aggressive short-travel bike for maximum sprint power at the beginning.

Based on my lack of riding this year and everything this brings with it, a lot of what you say, so bike fit, I think comes down to having enough time to try things out and test them back to back and also knowing what to look for improvement wise.

I'd bet the delta between what we can go buy and what the top guys are running is a lot tighter than most think. Jackson's V10 is closer to stock than not, and we all know how his season is going. Maybe there are a few special parts hung from his bike, but the difference is likely pretty small between what he is running and what we can buy (IE, Grip-X vs Grip-2). Put differently, if you were to hang totally off the shelf parts from his bike and have him race a weekend, I still wouldn't bet against him...

Might be a proof of concept, but combined with the plastic mount and zip ties I do wonder how effective that would be as a TMD....

Alex Morgan was WAY ahead of his time. When I see all these pics from the past I am still amazed that even with so many creative smart dudes working on all this stuff it still took us so long to get to the modern geo we have today. Look at the HTA on that bike! There was barely anyone...
