10/25/2026 7:11pm Appears to be a solid rig! My 8 y/o had a Reaper 24 this season (and since he was 7). That bike has been awesome for us. He absolutely rips on that thing downhill, and the compliance helps a lot on the roots/rocks on our climbs here. I just picked up my middle guy a Marin Rift Zone Jr. 24, which looks very very similar to this. He can't wait for a full suspension. He'll be 7, but ridden bike park and trails on his hard tail up until now (rented a FS a few times, which he loved). With...

10/24/2026 10:10pm I have these for all my bikes. Just the 3 pos. But they def help me on the steeper climbs. I actually just set it for the ideal climbing position tilted forward. Then cruising flats or downhill I'm fine with either the middle or rear setting. I've noticed less back pain and sciatica but I think the seat angle is only one contributing factor. Still, it's hard to ignore, when I use it every ride.

10/24/2026 9:54pm These are awesome, you've totally undersold the advantage they have for steep climbs. Being able to relax most of the upper body and sit tall with a straight back while everyone else is hanging off their bars hunched over, then go straight back to a comfy position on the flat is awesome. And angled right back makes it way more comfy on the legs when descending for some reason.

6/12/2025 6:02am Someone needs to design a Tuned Mass Damper / MultiTool combo. Where the tool takes place of the mass inside :D

6/6/2025 7:59pm I'm really excited for the XTR embargo to be over so I can get more miles in on the new not-a-clutch clutch mechanism on my primary bike. Very curious how it will affect suspension feel to have spring force instead of friction controlling the cage on my long travel bike with relatively high anti-squat.

5/8/2025 1:18pm It’s one of the few forks I didn’t feel like I needed the spacer out. The only gripe I have with mine, is the negative spacer can actually float up on compression and then tap the bottom on rebound. You can hear it when bouncing around in a parking lot. I spoke with Öhlins USA about it, and that was what we determined the noise to be. You could probably put a small o-ring in there to act as a bumper but I haven’t bothered to try. Some silicone grease helped hold it in place for a while and kept...

5/7/2025 2:13pm Excellent! I won’t touch it then. I’m similar in both hackiness and weight, so that’s great to hear.

5/7/2025 2:10pm I did nothing with it, I left well enough alone and have been thoroughly enjoying my 38 in stock form since I got it. I think the air spring design and base tune is one of the things that really sets this fork apart. For me, as an aging 200-lbs hack, I see no need to fiddle with the negative air volume at all - this fork is one of the most dialed I have ever ridden, it offers a great mix of support and comfort that just gets better the harder you push it. If I ride flatter terrain...

5/7/2025 12:48pm Thanks Johan. Regarding the negative chamber spacer. Sounds like it's worth leaving it in for my first few 38 rides? I'd be curious what you, Schroder and Jonny did with that white devil :D

5/7/2025 12:45pm This video is definitely a bit of a storm in a teacup, it has to be said. First of all, there is no air exchange between the main positive air spring and the ramp up chamber (they are separated by a piston), so even if you were to get things completely wrong, you could just pump up the ramp up chamber again and be back to square one. If you run the ramp up chamber super low you just end up with a very linear fork - similar to running no tokens in a classic set-up. Second, there is typically...
