The Smuggler has been a staple of Transition’s line up for a while, but the very latest generation had us waiting for it as Transition took their time giving it the same refresh as the rest of the range. That K.I.S.S. system still hurts my skull. Why not use the Hopey Steering Damper that's fully adjustable or the Cane Creek Viscoset? Far simpler, less messy & make a heck of a lot more sense to me. What can it possibly do better than a Hopey other than make it easy to coast down a gravel road no handed?

In my experience, having owned plenty of cable-actuated droppers and a couple of AXS droppers, the shape of the lever for an electronic dropper doesn't need to be and shouldn't be shaped the same as a cable remote. The amount of force needed to actuate the AXS dropper is probably 10-20x less than a cable remote. Cable remotes need leverage and a longer throw to operate. The movement of the AXS remote is probably only a few millimeters. When I use the AXS remote I barely touch the button, I basically "tap" the leftmost part of the button that sticks...

I love Waltworks stuff, it was tough to figure out what builder I was going to use, I ultimately decided on Neuhaus Metalworks.
