11/3/2025 11:35pm New logo and font looks like trash. The old Ohlins branding is iconic and timeless. Whoever greenlit this redesign should be fired.

11/3/2025 11:31pm This is disappointing. I don't know why companies insist on taking their iconic logos and brand recognition and then throwing them in the trash. If it ain't broke then don't fix it! I will miss that iconic Ö and the yellow and blue (swedish colors).

11/3/2025 11:35pm I agree with you on the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” part. However, if it’s not the product (or in this case the logo) that changes but the goal — for example, a new target audience, a new customer base, or a new strategic direction — then even something that seems fine might still need to change. Keep in mind, Öhlins got bought by Brembo, so their goals and direction might be quite different from what Öhlins originally had in mind. Maybe that’s why they felt the need to distance themselves from the brand’s previous image. As I...

11/3/2025 8:36am Having a marketing degree (I know, it means nothing), that "Soul of Heritage" diagram... Ooof, that's some high on schrooms, drinking the kool-aid, cult level marketing. Congrats to the Italians.

10/31/2025 12:56am " Optimal zone 2 is between 60% and 70%. How much of your ebike time was below 60%? Does your HR not have an upper and lower alarm setting?" The write up states "t he goal was to keep my heart rate below 70% of maximum (Zone 2 training) during climbs", the emphasis here being on below. Admittedly, the use of "training" in parentheses in this sentence is confusing and could have been better. "Could you not have backed off or clicked into an easier gear in the spots where you were well above Zone 2?" On the hard parts...

10/31/2025 12:58am Where i live its either up or down. Mostly steep. It is pretty much a hard job to even stay in z3. The e bike therefore helps a lot. Ride the same trails, stay in Z2. Builds base, needs less recovery. go full blast with the spaghetti powered bike, build strength and explosivity, needs more recovery. Yes you could also...

10/30/2025 12:58am Hot take: we need less elites in finals (for men). I'd vote for 20 Elite Men, 15 (and eventually 20) Elite Women in Finals. Maybe not right this moment, but eventually. The current package is already a long watch, and they still don't capture entire runs of every rider. I think there is lot of potential with less racers to hone in on elevating each racers notoriety; potential to adjust the schedule to minimize track degradation and allow for safer speed increases throughout a weekend; and hopefully more money paid across the entire field. These changes feel very dependent on...

fartsack Added a reply to Should Juniors still have a place on World Series Teams?
10/30/2025 12:55am I thought one of WBD’s main goals was to improve the juniors category and to support young riders. Well, they actually achieved that goal — the depth of talent has never been greater in the junior ranks. I’d even go as far as to say it’s sometimes more exciting to watch the juniors than the elites. Hats off. By scrapping...

10/10/2025 2:18am $360 CAD for the new Wolftooth pedals per their website. $360 for SPDs! I almost spit out my coffee. That's TIME Speciale 10/12 levels of ridiculousness, back when they first came out. Arguably more crazy since there's no special sauce or differentiation going on with the very mature SPD interface. The interesting one is the DEL - going for max weight reduction with the single mechanism. They're aiming for the luxury side of the barbell with this release.
