mass and force are different. “maximum mass” is actually the exact right wording to nullify your question about g force.

8/13/2026 7:38am Tried it with the HSC but nope. Works good with "midspeed" but not that great with high shaft speeds. Because as you say, it handles max shaft speed. Unfortunately it deals with it quadratic. So not a solution to this problem. Running it open is definately better. I'd love to run some HSC but as said, not with progressive force...

Yes. The US is doing amazingly at the moment. Especially with Aletha coming up we finally have another top tier female racer too. But given our population and depth of brands investment/involvement in the industry etc.. I just feel there has often been large gaps in talent coming through over the years and looking at the category system compared to the relative simplicity elsewhere in race results, just made me think is all.

Why would that be? Asa and Pinky are in the top 5 WC overall, Bodie has qualified 2nd and qualified for all WC races all three are 21 or younger. Luca Shaw has won a race and was 3rd overall last year. It feels to my like the US is doing well in the WC races and getting better. JMHO.

Used to be pretty big (and cheap) back in the DJ and huck-to-flat freeride days. Overbuilt, overweight stems, massive seatpost collars... that's what immediately comes to mind. 😄 Just Google Da Bomb Projectile and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Da Bomb was 200% meathead before anyone even knew what a meathead was. 😄

Also it didn't shift as smooth to bigger cogs. had the same problem with two different xo derailleurs. one completely new, one half a season old. swapped the cage from a crushed gx on the new XO and suddenly the noise was...

I think having loic in your pit is bound to slightly affect your personal confidence. I also think if you have a healthy loic, he’s probably the most likely to have beaten Finn or Jordan in one of those races. How many times has Finn been a step or two below loic thruout his career. I look forward to loic’s return. And I like both Finn’s and Jordan’s chances of finally beating him regularly if they can keep the confidence of the past bunch of races and ride their best.
