I will never understand the “it’s a whole separate sport” thing. I ride my ebike exactly like my analog bike just do more laps. Literally every other person I know with an ebike does the same and is not going out and climbing up downhill trails in boost. I see plenty of e-bikes on the lift at the bike park being ridden like analog bikes. The innovation is happening in the motor and battery because the “bike part” of the tech has plateaued. Amflow proved this by making a decent riding bike out of thin air.

Just a hunch, but I doubt Santa Cruz is letting YouTubers/Instagramers test out new stuff... especially with Specialized tires. Willing to put money that's just a XO RSV Bullit with a wrap on it.

If you don't know what pads you're running, I would highly recommend checking. Resin pads are super common on budget brakes and on budget bikes. Here's a quick guide for your 4-piston Deore brakes, because Shimano's naming and numbering system is mega confusing: Metallic compound brake pads for Shimano BR-M6120 (what you want): D02S ( un-finned, non-Icetech) Resin compound brake pads for Shimano BR-M6120 (these suck, and I suspect you may have these on your brakes, as they're common on budget bikes and brakes): D03S ( un-finned, non-Icetech) According to Shimano, you can't run Icetech finned pads on a Deore...

It really sounds like a bad bleed if you have to pull them to the grips for full power. The m6120s are one of the most underrated brakes out there in my opinion. I have a set of Formula Cura 4 on one bike where I had m6120 earlier, the Shimanos had more power for sure with the setup I use.
