7/9/2026 4:06am just in case anyone cares: did my own test. bronze a1 caliper and silver b1 lever. (had the bronze laying around, wanted the contact point adjuster, that's why silver lever) biggest concern was: getting used to new lever feel. but absolutely no learning phase, didn't have to get used to it at all. 800 vertical meters descending without brake and...

7/3/2026 1:35am I'm completely against flipping start order for any petty overall series interest. Times are so stupidly tight now that 30th can win. It's a FALSE stacking of riders in hopes of building a fictitious momentum. The courses get better sometimes for the last few racers. Sometimes it gets worse for the last few racers. Fractions of seconds spaced out over a 1, 2, 3 hour time span in variable weather & lighting conditions. All splitting hairs in the final. The days of dictating a countdown to fastest run are over. Please stop trying to manufacture a good time I'm capable...

7/2/2026 7:48am as much as everyone treats reachnumbers as the holy grail, i stopped caring. in the last 6 years i rode 4 different bikes between 515 and 470mm and every bike was great for another reason. all of those bikes were enduro, long travel trail bikes whatever you might call them.

Did the same as long as it was true. All of a sudden got myself a gauge and oh boy, wheel is lasting for way longer.

6/15/2026 9:15am Incoherent. We have. More independent media than ever. Better insight from vlogs and socials than ever. A live broadcast. Insanely fast young racers, more new tracks than ever and 9-10 races per season not including Worlds. And yet. It's a "bad direction"?

6/15/2026 6:38am So far I've been happy with the Dominion. A few downsides remain though. The biggest ones are the deadband once the pads are more than about 20% worn, and the lack of contact point adjustment. Otherwise I loved the power delivery, modulation and lever feel. I also ran the hope V4. Overall I liked it, but I had a few...

6/10/2026 1:53am How organizers still approach elite sports events as standalone products instead of marketing assets still blows my mind. In most cases, a World Cup weekend will never generate positive revenue if you only look at the direct cashflow during the event itself. The picture changes once you factor in media coverage, long term tourism, bike sales, brand image, destination marketing...

5/20/2026 3:33am 99.5% of people looking for a GT or SC would have absolutely no fucking clue what Pon is lol. GT disappeared because all they had was their heritage, and that's not enough to carry a brand indefinitely as they pumped out mostly unappealing bikes year after year. I personally don't know anyone that considered buying one in recent memory. I had a GT bmx in 2006 and really liked it, so when I got properly into mountain biking I always looked at GT. Other options were always better. I stopped looking at them years ago. If GT was successful then...

5/19/2026 12:45am Take it easy buddy. I’m not trying to derail the entire conversation but also think it’s allowed to have an aside now and again. There’s plenty of off topic quips that go on in this thread.

5/19/2026 12:44am I think a better reason is because Ford was a nazi sympathizer. That said, we have more than likely all owned products from companies with ties to the nazis sadly.
