1/8/2025 3:51pm I remember being told when the Druid V2 came out that Forbidden is already using this standard and that looks to be accurate.

1/7/2025 12:10pm There are many current and recently ex-employees from Rocky, and almost all of them had no bearing on the current financial outcome of the company.

1/3/2025 11:51am My mind is just blown at all of the Americans that think the economy is bad, and gas is expensive. I just don't get it. We are the economic envy of the entire planet by a HUGE margin and our economy is just insanely good. To top it off, I made more on my 401Ks last year than I did at my job and my side business, and neither is low paying.

12/19/2024 9:48am I kinda doubt people will just start to see GT as a top shelf brand all of a sudden just because they want to position themselves as one. Making your bikes more expensive isn’t going to change your brand perception, just means less people will buy it because the value is worse compared to the competition.

12/17/2024 8:23am I've only ever had to Grease the seal head, otherwise i dont touch them... several v2's that have been going for years. got 2 x v3's and they are even better. I had several Fox transfers fail, PNW fail... but never a failure of a oneup.

11/26/2024 3:40pm Those pedals are cool, I would love to try some. They kind of remind me of something I've seen before...

11/26/2024 4:24am But at this point what categories are they missing other than (O)XC? I'd argue the Druid covers a wide enough breadth that it covers the trail/Am category nicely. Are they ready to pivot away from FS and get some hardtails out there? Other than the long CS doesn't really seem like their thing. You're right about the 5dev/aliexpress stuff, we'd all probably benefit from moving on or risk hurting the feelings of the Chinese people.

11/22/2024 12:37pm That's not a review, it's a press release. There's no evidence that any actual riding took place, or that Blister even had a physical complete bike.

11/8/2024 2:39pm Very badly. Makes all imported frames and parts more expensive, passes on those costs to consumers. Frames and parts in the country are already discounted to sell, meaning they won't be ordering any more at a 10%+ increased price as they can't already move the cheaper ones. A universal tariff is a horrendous economic policy

10/31/2024 11:57pm I can't help but comment on this one because there are a lot of ways to make the dirt bike buying experience better, but the fact is when we go buy a dirt bike for ~$10K we are getting a lot of product for the money. The business needs to be hyper efficient or they lose their already thin margin. This is exactly my argument as to why GasGas/Husky is a net headwind. Its adding to an already complicated supply chain with little outside of brand equity to show for it. If a company were to add customization, which others...

10/28/2024 3:46pm I've seen e-bikes eat Shimano 12sp drivetrains in circa 500 miles .The 10 and 12t get hammered while the top 5 sprockets are untouched. They just rode everywhere at 30rpm.

10/28/2024 9:10am Are these "worn out in less than 200 miles" XTR cassettes in the room with us right now? They can creak, especially he earliest ones, but I've put thousands of miles on these and don't find they wear differently than any other cassette.

10/22/2024 3:50pm That 10-45 12speed XTR cassette is definetly not vapourware. Ran one for 2-3 season and currently running a SLX 10-45 12sp cassette (there is also a XT 10-45 version) with the same XTR GS 12 speed derailleur. They are also the cassette used currently for the 12 speed GRX gravel group so plenty of stock available. But there is no SLX GS derailleur, only XT or XTR version. My next build will be XT GS derailleur and 10-45 SLX cassette with XTR chain. The vapourware stuff was the 10-45 11 speed hyperglide+ cassette that was mentionned during XTR launch but...
