4/15/2026 6:23am That makes a lot of sense, I appreciate that. I have been doing this so long I forget sometimes, honestly. I guerrilla marketed One Ghost Industries for the better part of 10 years and never got any flack for it. Different times now and I know I am a bit out of touch. I also don't have a lot of free time to spend in the forums, which sucks all the way around. Two jobs and a family with two younger kids each with an autoimmune disease (on top of my own health issues) makes it difficult. I also haven't...

4/14/2026 5:00pm Static and dynamic climbing rope also comes to mind. Hanging on the two ropes, loads are the same, as a freebody diagram would suggest. A 40' whiper on a dynamic rope is survivable, maybe even fun. 40' whiper on a static rope is a potentially life ending event, both for you and the rope. Something to be said for slowing down the acceleration over a bit of time.

4/11/2026 1:52pm I’ve said it a couple times so apologies if it’s a broken record . The problem for me isn’t 150nm, or 1500watts. It’s 800% assist . Humans fundamentally make different choices when things are easy vs. hard . I can maybe go 20mph uphill on a trail on my meat bike , but only for an instant, then I’m gassed . So I never do that . When there’s suddenly no disincentive (it being exhausting) the total time spent of people going 20mph on blind single track is going to be much higher, thus the probability of isssue increases. At...

4/11/2026 1:52pm Quick update for clarification. It does appear that DJI has officially spun off Avinox and Amflow as wholly owned subsidiaries. They are working hard to distance both brands from DJI while still owning them, which in my opinion is primarily for tariff reasons. I don't read Mandarin so I had to use AI to help with the research, but here's what the Chinese corporate registry data shows: DJI senior management member Song Jianyu is the legal representative of the Amflow entity, which is held by a Hong Kong shell company called Worang Technology. If you guys want, I'll spend the...

4/9/2026 5:00pm Ya know, I'm changing my tune about 32" wheels. I don't really have all that much interest in owning a 32" bike, and I fully expect most, if not all of the first 32" bikes to not be in my wheelhouse... But right now, I'd kill for anything that isn't related to an ebike to read about. Never before have I yearned to digest some bike stuff that just involved the measly 250w that I struggle to put out. So... bring on the 32" content please, I am primed and ready for it.
