That's exactly how sliders are evaluated kinematically, draw a perpendicular (infinitely long) line through the pivot on the slider carrier and see where it intersect with the line on the other link. That's how you get the IC. It's literally like having an infinitely long link.

Just entertain the thought that maybe, just maybe, the bike is really holding the 35-50 y/o dads back, but in a different way than you might think. Most bikes are designed and developed for and with 25 +/- y/o, fit, incredibly skilled pro riders. That is not me and most others on here are not on that level as well. Although I'm a sucker for all the latest rumors and innovation on the tech-front (which in between chainstay length discussion sometimes occur in this thread), as a company it just sucks whenever people decide to leak stuff willingly. There's people doing their best to create marketing & launch campaigns around new products, and most of the time go to great lengths to make sure it doesn't get public before. (Yes if you as a brand decide to go to Crankworx with an unreleased product it's up to you...) Usually there's a slew of NDA's signed, and more often than not...

You don't have to apologize to anyone - this is how ya figure out what you like. I have Fox, RS and Manitou - like them all though I'm super careful w/ Fox and its near impossible to fully service at home w/o weird tools while RS & Mani aren't. Anyway - ya like what ya like and if people don't like that... who cares. I'm not looking for a fleet of back-patting comments here so be honest, that's all this is - talk.

PSA about the dust wiper issue: SKF makes a green (low-friction) wiper that takes care of that issue and reduces stiction. Ride it with the stock wipers until you're at 50 hours, then swap out the wiper when you're doing the first service. Le boom

I promise you- a SuperDeluxe Ultimate costs a lot more than $79 USD/Euro to make... That was my product line for a long time- I have been to the factory and suppliers where they come from.

I ride the Mezzer Pro for a while now, and also the expert (with IRT upgrade) before that and have to say I am super happy with the performance in summer. Absolutely love hot it rides and how tuneable it is. I don't know if it is just my fork, but below 8°C it just stops working. I have changed the lower oil to one that works better in the cold, but it stays super harsh. Similar to Zebs that I felt in the parkinglot. They seem to suffer the same fate. My DT Swiss F535 works just so much...

I am 100% on the Manitou fork cult member list. I have a mezzer pro and in my opinion it is the best non usd fork a person can buy. It always feels composed. Its so easy to adjust I am constantly ride to ride making little changes based on how I'm feeling and what im riding. Smooth jumpy rides, no issue I tweak for that. Going to ride lots of chattery rough terrain, I soften it up and linear out my settings a hair with the IRT. The HBO in a fork can not be understated too. I've taken...

Production volumes end up that there is little to no sharing of molds when producing the various models based on travel. You might save on the XS and XL molds if the volumes are low enough. Using one mold would also wear it out more quickly, thus requiring another mold to be made, once it's no longer repairable
