Going to revive this thread, I just got some wrangler ATG pants and target brand flannel shirts for winter riding gear and so far they're great. Got 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts for a total of $84, which is the same as some pants on sale.

The most impressive thing about this thread revival is the thread was started... Before you made your account. That is like holy prophet levels of revival. I'll also chime in that I basically go to Ross and shop for Adidas stuff and it's my favorite riding gear by far. A lot of it has zippered pockets. You're basically looking for more 'running gear' or even soccer stuff, and less basketball or basic gym stuff.

On the stems topic: Back in 2010s I worked for German bike brands, high quality, highly engineered, and all built in Tawain. The factory that built said high quality stems/bars/parts asked us to potentially sell a white label stem in the US. This would have been made right next to said German company parts(aka quality was there) and was designed between US and Tawain engineers. If i remember correctly, cost to build was in the $30s USD and then shipped and landed was around $50 USD. The plan was to sell for $90+. The manufacturer was all hot and heavy...

How about 2.6 million bicycles in 2023? Pon owns Caloi, Cannondale, Cervélo, FOCUS, Gazelle, GT, Kalkhoff, Mongoose, Santa Cruz, Schwinn, Urban Arrow, Public, and Veloretti bicycle brands.

24k bikes sold with only 47% sold in NA, this explains why no one are seeing them. Giant sold 6.6 million bikes worldwide in 2017 just to give you an idea.

Perrier has been criminally unvalued since the La Croix fad of 2018. Primed for a big rebound.

Yup, 25k bikes from Pierer, of which 13k were Felt, and roughly 50% of sales were in NA. So with some simplifying assumptions, ~6.5k in NA, maybe there are more dealers in Canada and Mexico? As a European based in France, let me tell you that we also almost never see any KTM/Felt/Husky/GasGas bikes on our trails, I imagine they do most of their sales in Germany.

some of you wouldn’t be happy in heaven. each and every time I crest the top of a climb on my eeb I shake my head and laugh at how great it is. Playing with house money after my first day on an eMTB, they’re so sick! I’ve never expected a bike to last more than two years, so maybe that’s the issue, but my eebs have been right there with every other thing in this hobby. Unsure if Shimano are the worst, but certain they’re more fun than any pedal bike (DH bike + chairlift is the only thing...

Interesting KTM is doing roughly $2B a year. I had no idea what size company they were. Also 300,000 motorcycle sales per year, 70,000 e-bikes… that’s more e bikes than I thought they would sell.

In my digging around through KTMs stuff, I found this in their H1 presentation. Mind you, this is many months old, but felt too good to not post... BICYCLE MARKET "During the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for bicycles rose rapidly, leading to overheating in the bicycle market and disruption throughout the supply chain. Stock levels peaked as a result. The return of these stocks to normal levels continues, while at the same time there is massive pressure on sales prices. On the customer side, the increased cost of living in the core market of Europe led to a loss of...

Can you type out the abbreviations and be more specific on exactly what versions you used? 1/2 the general tire confusion is because there are 50x variations of the same tire name.

I've went through a few fronts on my trail bike including Specialized Ground Control T7, XR4 Team Issue 2.4, Onza Ibex, Specialized Purgatory T9 & currently Schwalbe Tacky Chan UltraSoft Super Ground GC, is not great. It's no faster than other options with worse traction. The Ibex is just, so fast. But not quite enough traction as it wears even slightly. If speed is the primary concern and you don't mind replacing often (before you even see wear), this is your tire. If you are on the GC, switch to the Ibex. It's crazy how AM it looks, yet XC...
