Lol I cant wait for the comments of wealthy 200lb beginners say the USD Fox is not stiff enough for their riding when there is a 200lb pro racer taking golds on the fork.

I have the 10 speed MicroShift on my fat tire bike. I’ve tightened the clutch adjustment as much as I could, but still get way more chain slap than my Shimano group sets. As others have mentioned, it shifts well, but isn’t going to match offerings from Shimano or Stam for speed or smoothness.

both my boys had Advent 9-speed (not X) on riprock hardtails that they thrashed for 2 years with no regard for gentle or "proper" shifting technique, repetitive bike lay-downs on the driveside and no actual maintenance aside chain lube. one was on a 20" (no clutch) one was a 24" (clutch) and the cages were in the line of fire b/c of wheel size...the 20" cage practically dragged on the ground in low gear LOL. those drivetrains never flinched despite bent derailleur hangers and crappy alignment when i'd try to straighten the hanger.. very surprised at its durability.

My Son has the Advent X 10 speed on his MTB and it has been pretty reliable. Shifting under load can be a bit loud but it does happens. It is definitely not Shimano's hyperglide+ level of smooth but it is pretty good. The clutch is ok and not as good as Shimano or SRAM's offerings. They use a ratcheting clutch as opposed to roller bearing type so there can be a bit of free play. As a result, sometimes you get more chain slap and sometimes less depending on where the rachet is sitting relative to the 4 pawls...

First round of the ewsdr or whatever they are callling it this year next weekend and the course map has been released. Around 100km and 3100m of climbing over 2 days so looks like they are going back to bigger days out again.

Michelin Enduro Rear and Specialized Eliminator (old gen) are also good option for rear tire that rolls nicely but with decent side lugs

My warranty replacement Zeb CSU crown is thicker around the steerer tube and the flat area around the crown race is now wider than the headset cup. Hopefully this makes it less prone to creaking, but making the interfaces taller would be way more effective as you say.

I did. But I still expect better. We are talking five figure bikes that can be solved with some clamps and mastic tape or a little oval thing. Why is that left to the customers to figure out where it goes?

Hey everyone, this is TJ. Tariffs aren't fixed to factory cost, or wholesale or retail. They're calculated based on the specific transaction price. The example we used is accurate for an ecomm purchase, shipped from our warehouse in Canada. If a retailer ordered the same short and we charged them half the price ($100), the same tariff percentage would apply, so tariffs would be $145 for a total cost to the retailer of $245. If the retailer sells that short to a customer and maintains their dollar margin the short would be $345 to the end user - however if...

Just because they launched the bikes doesn't mean they can fend off creditors long enough to get those bikes into customer hands and realise profits.
