2/28/2026 6:36pm A bit delayed, but you can find my analysis of Fox's Q4 results here. Outside the obvious, the big news is the moderate amounts of restructuring the brand is undertaking.

2/27/2026 10:55am Intend and MRP, Boss is technically still making mtb stuff too. Formula maybe? I wouldn't count Manitou but I do count cane Creek.

2/27/2026 10:28am "We have been shoveling money into US Customs and Border Protection faster than we can make it. It's literally our entire operating margin," Evil's Moeschler noted. "We've had some short-term methods to offset the cash that we're shovelling into the government. But that wasn't a long-term plan. That was just, 'here's what we can do for a little bit' – but now we need something to change high level with the US government." Absolutely brutal, horrible way to have to run a business. Just lighting money on fire. IDK, maybe its a PR move from a lot of companies, but...

2/27/2026 10:28am Wait a sec… tariffs are taxes paid by US importers and will eventually be passed on to the end consumer in the form of higher prices? Get outta here with that nonsense!

2/26/2026 11:52pm Heard that RMU, a ski company with shops in Truckee, whis, and breck, are launching an aluminum, DW designed all mountain bike (170 fork) that apparently pedals quite well. There’s likely to be a 140 version to follow, and potentially ebikes to follow that. Made in Taiwan. Should drop in March, curious if they’ll be at sea otter with it. Could it be this thing?

2/26/2026 11:50pm Based on the soundtrack for that ad they should call the adjustable shock mount '...change my pitch up...' (for the ageing Prodigy fans out there).

2/26/2026 11:49pm Fox Factory reported earnings this evening. I'll do a deep dive post later, but here are a few takeaways. Q4 Results - Came in about as expected (overall). 2026 Guidance - Lighter than expected, but there are talks of divesting in certain assets (like Marucci) SSG (the unit bike components live in) lagged about 5% in year over year sales. Management described bike as "slowly stabilizing" but explicitly acknowledged "disruptive market entrants" forcing legacy brands to "consolidate or cease operations". Maybe they have caught onto this thread? Lol. Stock is flat in post market trading, down 4% prior to the...

2/26/2026 11:48pm Possibly? Once he gets to grips with it and gets a handle on things? But you never know what will come to hand for him during the process? He seems a handy kinda rider, I'm sure he will get a firm grip on things.

2/26/2026 11:59am I'd wait for the 25+ bosch version to go on sale and snag that. I basically paid half price for one... Having ridden several dji bikes at this point, the bosch gen 5 is still as good or better than the m1 dji, particularly for noise. Only downside is aesthetic of the downtube being built to accept the fat 800wh bosch battery. Great geo and kinematics on the crafty. Never dreamed I'd prefer to ride a 150mm rear travel e-bike at the bike park rather than any of my acoustic enduro bikes, but here we are.

2/25/2026 12:03pm The craziest part of the Levo R is the redesigned front triangle, this means spesh bothered to build new molds for a bunch of sizes just for this bike to save a few hundred grams? I could have totally understood if this was just a new linkage and shock to help move unsold frames... To their credit I will say the geometry looks great, and having it on sale today is a good move, because I think come April there will be half a dozen Avinox powered bikes that will be 2kg lighter for €2k less per build that will...

2/25/2026 12:58am Since you did some back to back testing with the B1 levers vs A1, I'd be curious to know whether the new levers affected where you set your contact adjuster dial. With A1s, I start my contact adjusters all the way in, and wind them out to compensate for pad wear. Doing this seems to increase deadband. Did you notice that you wanted to set the contact adjuster further out on the B1s?
