The new X2 air can looks very similar to the SJ15 Genie. Wonder if there’s anything similar going on inside or just new similar architecture.

Agreed on the spec choice. For the sake of discussion, let's assume that the new air spring (i) removes all binding and (ii) doesn't explode. What do you think about also making the fork stiffer? In other words, if the flex didn't make the fork bind, do you think we'd like the flex? Or are the bushings still going to bind? Or do forks really need to be a stiff as possible for steering precision and such?

How has nobody mentioned the 32x2.4" Maxxis Aspen tires at Taipei Bike Show? As a 6'2" dude, I would absolutely try a 32er. Or if nothing else, a 32/29 mullet.

Sure, people like to root for the underdog, for the kid who came from nothing (or worse than nothing) and overcame all that. And there's a lot to be said about people who just don't excel at school but are otherwise intelligent, hard-working, caring, or any other positive character trait you want. We like those stories because they are rare. A race team is a business, and that means team managers are looking for people who have a high chance of meeting their goals. Having a high GPA (which is one of the few ways someone this age can show...

The holes increase airflow around the stanchion, aiding cooling and improving damping consistency by 11%. As a side note, 80% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I like that they're still encouraging the kids to excel at school at the same time (listing their GPAs). Way to lead by example Neko & FW.

If I can add my 2 cents here. I don't think Sram paid Jack, or the team, anything. That whole YT deal is that they run whatever they want because they don't take money from any sponsors. Now I think that was changing because the industry is struggling and they probably saw how much money they were losing out on. My best guess is YT asked Sram to pay to support the team and they said no, so YT doubled down on the TRP/Fox association they had already been building. Vali would be the only one I could see saying...

Sam Hill said... SRAM didn’t even return an email or phone call when he was try to put a bike together most recently. Seems pretty disrespectful to athletes (and champs) that helped push your products for many years. It’s one thing to not resign a rider. It’s another to just ghost them like they never existed!

Alternatively ! Get all your mates together and split the costs - I believe with the expensive option you have access to 5 screens at a time.. so roughly $6 a month - this requires friends though so I can’t take advantage of this hack

No, I am sure that is a tech reference to the old, non-boost 36 models, the ones with pinch-bolt dropouts
