Yep, my 5010 has won XC races, and charges chunk at Tahoe on a regular basis. That said, upforking to 140mm up front has helped a lot in "oh crap, I'm underbiked" situations.

or just buy a Patagonia Houdini jacket for $25.00 cheaper that packs just as small and is wind and water resistant. Oh and it goes to a company that does A LOT to preserve our natural resources.

BergMann Added a comment about press release Enduro World Series launches EWS-E!

No, access to non-motorized trails in the US has been a nonstop struggle for 40yrs, and it is *not* on a singular trajectory towards getting better. There is a very militant anti-MTB lobby (spearheaded by no less than the Sierra Club, our most influential nature-advocacy group) and adding motors to the mix for access to human-powered trails here is like putting out a kitchen fire by throwing kerosene on it. Case in point: MTBing has essentially been banned in Marin, the *birthplace* of the sport, because of the efforts of anti-cycling equestrians, hikers & NIMBYs. There is no unified, national...

Except for the part where MTB's aren't allowed on many trails in the future because of way way more bike traffic. Also, the barrier for entry will be virtually gone. Real MTB is hard...that's why a lot of people don't do it. But now a lot of people will be out there that don't care and/or are unaware about trail ediquette, running over hikers, old ladies, dogs, etc. We'll just have to go farther and farther out to ride MTB.... And we already have dirt bikes for that. Oh, and I bet those up-hill climbs and liaison sections will be...

Many Rampage riders have gone on record saying they do not ride full-pull Rampage runs more than once a year because they are simply too gnarly. Those same riders went out & created the Fest Series so they could practice Rampage-level speed & amplitude under more controlled, lower-pressure conditions. If Fest riders believe their builds are the best, most sustainable way to grow freeride, I'm inclined believe them.

Seeing it bigger res makes me appreciate this photo a lot more. Sven, How where you able to get the focus point perfect on Martin's eyes? Is it one of those Fuji's Magic Eye AF? :D Haven't been making a list but maybe should start one; because, this has got to be the best if not one of the best "RACING" mtb photo i've seen.

You throw a 29" front and a 27.5" rear on a specially-made frame. And it has an all-new hub standard to go with a new BB size.
