From ESMTB/MTBR - Fox seems to be testing new neo suspension for XC this week. No caliper sensors to be seen, battery placement on the bottom of the leg of the fork. This sounds interesting, especially the last part about Shimano! Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my own preferences here, but I feel that most MTBers who have been in the sport for a while thought the previous-gen Bosch motors were already powerful enough, and that they'd rather have the lightest possible motor + battery package at that power level than even more power and bigger batteries.

So back to team rumors... The Downtime Les Gets pre-race podcast had a bit of discussion about teams wanting to sign up and coming juniors, leaving riders towards/at the end of their career with few options. They didn't mention names, but I'm sure we can guess who might be in this bucket. Danny Hart jumps to mind first. Who else?

The World Cup circus is back after a big break, returning to the classic French Les Gets venue. Lawlor will be there with the goods, riders like Ronan Dunne will return while others like Finn Iles are out due to injury. Weather looking iffy right now. Hopefully it's just enough moisture to make the dirt good. DH Rider Entry List (PDF - may differ to actual qualifying start list) Share your social and web finds from the race here!

In Europe they seem to not sell MTBs at all anymore. Just classic looking commuter and ebikes. Too bad, 30 years ago they had sick ti frames (sadly not mine).

1- MaxxTerra DHX DH casing should be in the next 1-2 months. Other pattern DH casings in Maxxterra in the fall, or end of year at latest. 2- the grade of nylon was changed for the new DH casing compared to DD. The ply overlap has also changed, DD has 4 layers under the tread in most locations, where the new DH has 6 layers consistently out to where the under tread overlap meets the sidewall protection. This ends up giving more under tread protection compared to the old 2x60tpi DH casing by around 30% in a plunger force test...
