Agreed. Im wondering mostly about the stiffness of the rear triangle. Im not a huge fan of the look but at the same time the way it lines up with the top tube makes it not as bad as i thought it would be from the original pics

I like the shape of the front, but the rear swingarm style isn't the best looking. It would look a lot better with a regular rear triangle, a bit like the production privee bikes have.

The holes let oil up to the upper bushing… those are already on current 38 boxxer. Someone patented the channel around the bushings. I’m sure fatigue is been calculated and tested. RS didn’t mess around with fatigue. Also curious how they’re making the dimples.

The old one had a lower pivot, which performed well enough, but it seemed like Specialized were concerned about it being too low down and at risk of being scuffed or bashed on rocks. When they moved the linkage out of the way, it changed the pedalling characteristics a heck of a lot, and not for the better. So either...

My guess is that they've fettled with the link to cater to Loris' riding style and size. Amaury seems to still be on the normal link, which by my estimations has a lower initial AR with a higher initial leverage rate. The new link seems to have a lower leverage rate, a bit like how Kavenz and some other brands...

It looks like that pivot snapped on the downtube first- in an area where you do get lots of rocks kicked up, so maybe it was damaged previously. It'll only get worse from here if they don't acknowledge it publicly. We might be seeing them in the next edition of Jeff Brines' "will brands go bust" thread if they dont rub their braincells together.
