I think this just an artifact of Dak being the only Mondraker rider at the US Open. He probably doesn't mind racing the 'privateer' life for one event to be able to have his own personal van and dog with him for the remaining World Cup rounds. I'm sure he'll be back with the team in New York. I mean unless something really weird went down and even if he is ultimately leaving, he is under contract until the end of the year I would presume.

So, I have 0 insider information, just pure speculation. If points stay with the team this year, and it's calculated in October, could there be a situation where a team signs a former/current YT rider to a contract this year and capture their points? I don't remember reading anything in the UCI about a cumulative rolling calculation of team points. Just a snapshot at the end of the year. I know UCI contracts in road have language around if a rider isn't paid they they are immediately released from their contract a free to sign with another team. Would be...

I think I recall Neko at some point saying that he brought Angel on board because he felt that Angel is a rider that can give good feedback as far as development of the bike.

Sadly I agree. I think just that Neko likes him, and sees potential, but fading to me. I cannot see a way forward for Pivot and therefore BK. I mean how can Pivot look at 25 and write a check for 26?

A few notes: I'm pretty sure Tahnee Seagrave and Amaury Pierron are the only riders to qualify in Q2 and go on to win the race. Vali Höll has now earned more than 200 points in 7 consecutive races. The lowest amount of points she earned this year was 170 in the first race of the season. She has also been on the podium in 7 straight races, which also leads all Elite riders. Jackson Goldstone's 65 points in today's race is his lowest point total for a race where he qualified in Q1.
