It's really nice to be in a place where newer bikes aren't necessarily better, and we're not sure of the obvious path to take to make a bike better. Not good for brands, but certainly good for us.

I started paying attention to geo about ten years ago. For a while there every enduro bike release was trying to update to get closer to the Giant Reign of 2015 without anyone really saying so. That was in the everything needs to be longer, lower and slacker days. Couple of outliers came along, Pole and Geometron being the ones I remember. For the most part, seated cockpit sizes still haven’t recovered. 645mm ett used to be large territory, now that’s an xl in a lot of brands. If you want that 78-80° seat tube, you need a 530-540 reach...

I'm going to take a moment to lay out a real tech based reason that a dual shock bike could be useful. Not because I think it's where this bike was going and not because I necessarily think it's a good idea. Just for the fun of it. Each shock has its own leverage curve. You could use this to create an effective leverage curve anywhere between the two by proportionally changing the amount of support you are getting from each shock. Let's say one leverage curve was 30% progression and the other was 10%... you could alter how each...

No so sure about the strategy of, in fairly quick succession, having a huge sale and taking a bunch of people's money, sending them an email telling them neither the bike nor a refund are imminent, and then launching a new version of a bike called the "decoy."

Who in their right mind is going to spend any money on a new e-bike from YT right now? If I wanted to get rid of several thousand dollars quickly for nothing in return, there are plenty of better ways to do it, such as setting it on fire or hiring a lawyer to claw back money from YT for other customers.
