Are all of you guys really flipping your climb switch multiple times per ride? If we really, really want electronic suspension, why not just a simple solenid that flips your suspension closed when your power meter hits a configurable threshold, with nothing else? That could be $100.

I've got a Supreme v4 with 80mm Deity bars that I borrowed from another bike to test with. Did 12 park days so far and it feels amazing. A set of these will probably end up on the bike. Really hard to beat for the money.

Is it just me or do DH casing Conti Kryptotals last 5x longer than Maxxis in the bike park? I'm currently on 20+ park days and these tires still have life in them. I don't think I'll ever buy another Maxxis tire.

I was listening to a road biking podcast recently. One of the guests on the podcast is currently a DS for a bigger team and used to be a world tour rider. One of the things that came up in discussion is how absolutely insane the new generation of riders are. They are SO fast. They are SO good in their training. They are SO dialed in their nutrition and recovery. In theory, yes - thats why Push has a 50 hour "speed service" for the nine-one that lets you drain the old oil and fill it back up without disassembly, but for other brands its normally worth opening things up to make sure nothing is wearing out. Maybe after a while you would get a feel for how its holding up (if the oil was discolouring each time it means something is wearing or seals are failing) and you could extend things further without a rebuild. Yeah a long, sustained berm high-g can compress the suspension at slower speeds on certain bikes so the HBO is less effective. You can feel this with some bikes that can bottom out just by bouncing in the carpark or preloading for a bunnyhop but don't bottom out when you land that bunnyhop, or even very often on the trail. Its probably too soft for you one way or another but it does show how bottom outs can occur in unusual places. But yes this does normally happen on less progressive frames, and it does mean you run out of...

Well..my first reaction was the same. On a second thought, disregarding the ridiculous price...I'd be more keen to have this than most e-bikes that came out recently. I generally don't enjoy riding e-bikes, so if I do, it's for trail building. I'd actually take this thing for carrying tools etc. Maybe I'm just low key trying to repeat my "ebike isn't a mtb" thing, as in my view an emtb fits somewhere between a shovel and a VW Jetta, but for such purpose it actually makes some sense. But then again you look at the price and I'm back to...
