You can press the three dots on the video and say "do not recommend this channel" As someone who likes a very narrow selection of MTB YouTubers, I've had to tell YouTube many times that I don't want other channels

Mostly onboard except for big ass riding glasses! The bigger the better, in fact make them so big they work with my full face please! (Especially as I need corrective lenses) What's in for 2024 and forever: 1) Vital raw, copied by every other outlet, but the original is still head a shoulders above the rest. 2)Vital b team podcast so long as you get Dak to continue

Dude YouTube influencers, get out of here. YouTube keeps recommending the Loam Ranger to me and I find his stuff insufferable. He’s probably a nice guy but his video contents are super cheesy.

I've got them on my Scott Ransom - I like them, I like the look, seller threw them in for free when I bought the frame. I like the spatial void that comes without having a stem. Would I buy them again on their own? probably not. Would I buy a bike that came with them? sure.

ESO doubled team fees and stuck finals behind a paid subscription (cable or app) and it appears that ZERO of that money made it's way to riders, teams, or organizers other than ESO. Restricting the viewership of a niche sport will only make it less visible and therefore less valuable to sponsors. IIRC (I think it was a German MTB mag article) the viewership/retention numbers on Eurosport were bad. So being on TV in Europe is not creating new fans. ESO stated they want to bring in outside sponsorship, but their actions so far make that less likely than it...

Good luck if you think Discovery charging means they'll pass that on to the riders or put it towards helping venues with the cost of hosting extra rounds.

While I see your point of view, wasn’t RedBull getting everything paid? The sport grew during their tenure, the coverage was arguably great by comparison, and it was free for the fans. Neither of us know how or where the money went, but it seems to me the UCI just wants to expand their portfolios by making us pay. I still need to listen to the podcast. Does it explain? I’d really love to see the viewership and financial numbers comparison of this year vs. last year…

Bruni's been drinking the kool-aid. Who is going to fund these 'awesome' feeder series for riders 51 to 400...the UCI? They don't even offer decent prize money at World Cup level. It's very different in France. MTB is very well funded, thanks to the legacy of Vouilloz where the French federation foot the bill and even national dh races are on terrestrial tv. It's part of the reason why the French are so successful in DH. The broadcast has been worse than what we got for free from RedBull. Yes I know they sell drinks, but we didn't have to...

I’ve drawn some lines to create a triangle that illustrates why it doesn’t move if you were to lockout the shock. The pivot up on the seat tube by the yellow line is fixed. The pivot that is the red circle is effectively fixed when the shock is made rigid. Those two points define the blue line. The green line and yellow line are fixed length. As a result their positions are completely defined in space.

A list of various features that would have me thinking about a new bike… -ebike motor with combined gearbox with absolutely no dangly tensioners or other fiddly bits, just a true single speed style set up. -brakes that actually worked, I’m talking absolute consistency under every condition, the brake feels the same every time I pull the lever. They choose the schedule, the date, the venue and the track. Their job is run a race, if they are not able to do it, they should be fired... Other people have been able to do it for the last 30 or 40 years... I hope the juniors are at least getting a refund!!

And the flip side of that is the Lawrence brothers just won both motocross championships. honestly you should really try empathy out. Life might not be fair but it would be a lot better without people acting like you have.

As of now, I'm not planning to pay to watch WCDH next season. Gave it a chance this year. As a fan, I want to understand what's going on. Every race is more confusing. The qualie-semi-final format is a waste of time. Either make the change you want or don't -- 60 or 30. Frankly I was stoked to see a 60 rider field last week. The coverage is confusing, lacking, boring, sometimes nauseating (hello, drone footage), and rife with errors. It looks like they might have red flagged everyone after about the 10th starter, maybe due to a wreck in the final sector. I assume the riders who were already on the course will need to restart?
