I don't know if Laurie Greenland's contract is up but I think people are assuming he might be let go as he's perceived to of been having a bad season which I'm not sure he has , or at least not as bad as the results might suggest. He had an old school podium at Leogang I think and has had a fair bit of bad luck in finals and is coming off the back of health issues . He's a world cup winner and still relatively young and has shown he has pace when everything goes right for him . I wouldn't be surprised if he's still at the Syndicate for another couple of years.
Speaking of perceived quiet seasons on the commentary last week they were saying how Loris was having a quiet season and not quite on it ....he's 3rd in the overall 😁
What is Danny harts contract with Norco?
Total guess but I'd be very surprised if it was just one year .
They did race together on Intense a couple seasons back. Quite possible that Gwin Racing doesn’t get a wildcard spot and maybe Aaron just uses his overall ranking in the top 50 to go to select races like he did this year. Can’t see why Dak would sign on given that uncertainty.
Total guess, but I could see Max keeping him and moving him to Les Orres with Vali
Plus, the Syndicate hasn't been know to let people go just for performance reasons..
That's crazy about Loris.. I was thinking that I hadn't heard much about him since the team switch.. But, 3rd overall is pretty solid..
I could imagine Intense for Dak, as that is where he came from.
2 years I recall.
Don't forget Kasper Woolley that is/was also on the YT mob but, unfortunately, jumping from an injury to an other lately.
Does anybody know what's going on with Ella Svegby and Trek Factory Racing? She got signed last winter and is still listed as a rider for the team as of now but hasn't showed up at any races and hasn't been present on any of the teams social media, doesn't look like she has been injured just going of her instagram.
Horrible timing for that guy, switching from Enduro to full time DH and gets a nasty injury the same year the company he rides for implodes. Hope he finds a spot somewhere, maybe he can spend a year racing North American DH races/Crankworx to get his feet back under him.
Posted that she’s back on the bike. So sounds like she missed almost the whole season due to an injury.
you can see all his YT bikes for sale already. Doubt he's sticking around with YT
Had a big drive yesterday and caught up with a few post race podcasts. Sven Martin was saying that 2 mob riders had already signed contracts which was Vali and Oisin and the 3rd just about to which I assume was Kolb . Vali to commence les orres which she could be riding with at the next round but he didn't mention who Oisin had signed with .
He also said that with Vali signing a rider who thought they were with the les orres team next year now aren't so possibly Antoine Peirron looking for a ride ?
Rooting for these riders!
Tough scenario all round, the 3 riders that sound like they've already got something lined up will be good but it sounds like the staff have been screwed over as well .
Not sure if anyone has mentioned Jack Moir yet ? On paper a great signing for any brand but it doesn't seem like there is too many options floating around Enduro at the moment.
Nothing against Angel personally but he's gotten by many years in my opinion because of Martin's ties to every single one of the team's Angel has ridden for.
Angel would be paying a good chunk of money, so it's in Martins best interests to get him on a good team.
That's true, however times have changed and teams need to have riders make enough points to keep them in the top 15.
True.. Times and team management have changed there. With staying in the top 15 being a deal, teams need to make choices.. But, most of the bigger teams are doing ok with one or 2 riders generating most of the points they need.. That could change as some riders move around. Didn't someone say earlier in this thread that Vali made enough points on her own to be in the top 15 teams?
Rumor has it Kolb has been riding around on a Scott..
Being the Spanish Champ in the beginning I would think he wasn't bringing money. The last couple years I can see him having a check.
Jackson and Nina are plenty to keep them in the top 10.
Being a number 2 to a loic or Jackson is an incredibly difficult position. Laurie and Jackson seem to get along great and Laurie still shows flashes of his former self. While not necessarily being in a position to go get a big contract on another team with his past couple of unhealthy seasons. Personally I think it makes sense for Laurie and the syndicate to continue together for another season or two and look to Replace the Griffith kid with someone more competitive.
I thought everyone said mommy paid for his spot? If that's the case why replace him? Wouldn't that be a financially backwards unless they can find another parent willing to buy a spot.
I have no clue if his spot was paid for or not but that seems to be tge general consensus if I remember right.
YT confirmed to shut doors:

Isnt that the other guy that was riding for the Syndicate? Laurie had some great seasons and earned his spot on the team.
No inside info at play, but I wonder if O'Callaghan ends up on Mondraker with Dunne. They're friends, they're fast, they train together already, and both has won a world cup.
He was referring to one of the junior riders..
Here’s a translated post from the German site mtb-news.de on the YT case:
According to our information, the YT Mob World Cup team will compete in the usual lineup at the last two Downhill World Cups of the season. Since Les Gets, however, the team has had to scale back to a much smaller setup for financial reasons. In Lenzerheide, Oisin O’Callaghan was already riding in unbranded Troy Lee gear. The riders and team members are reportedly no longer being paid, but for performance reasons they are expected to continue using their usual equipment.
reading between the lines I get the vibe that they are not willing to let them go; a couple days back someone posted the UCI rule for dissolved teams and it stated that they effectively had to be released in order to pursue other opportunities. that does not seem to be the case here.
