Weird euro stuff. It would have been like "we want the word pro because pro is about peak performance... propane is a fuel with high energy density and explosive power, can we use that word? What if we change pane to pain? like embracing the pain of a good workout or a really hard effort...?"
Meanwhile, English speakers: "PROPAIN AND PROPAIN ACCESSORIES"
Nowhere near as bad as the european trials world. "What bike do you ride?" "Oh I used to ride a Koxx but now I have a Crewkerz Cleep."
"Yeah I ride a Reeb Sqweeb or a Guerrilla Gravity Gnarvana, depending on how I'm feeling..."
(And I don't think that King of the Hill meme is really a thing outside the US)
Although, yes, the YT DIRTLOVE is a goofy name for a bike.
Speaking of crewkerz they have new model near production

A DJ and an enduro.
I see them in real and the enduro looks good. The dirt is a little weird, the link between the top tube and down tube is strange.
Propane & propane accessories? I've got you covered.
Peggy rides on the downtube because she's a dirty girl
I need similar stickers
No i think of it every time I see a Propain! King of the hill rules
That's surprising to me, seems like a big jump for a trials company, but I guess trials bikes aren't the hottest sellers so diversity makes some sense.
Hm, I must be the only one of thinking "Julian, I just need a little propane propane" and "Lahey, you are peeing yourself" 🤷🏻
I am the liquor!
Outstanding! My favorite local trail is called "Longhorn" so I had to made a sticker for my rig. the perks of having a cricut sticker cutter. haha.
North America is weird in a different way, in that those are cringey forced jokes. Steezl is by far the worst.
King of the hill is extremely well known here, on the opposite side of the planet. Top tier entertainment and those stickers are the best
Ibis has teaser vids of the alloy (AF) Ripmo V3, and possibly the Ripley V5 on Instagram. release date July 22nd. As the current owner of a carbon Ripley V5, these bikes are going to rock!
Hopefully that new Ripmo AF isn’t a wet noodle like last time. I’ve not seen a bottom bracket tube flex around like that in, well, ever I don’t think?
interesting to see all the trek Fuel EX Gen 7 stuff and shimano pedals get removed..
I get why the site may do this based on previous Ones but It's not next year embargo, its the 8th of august.
If you want to keep an embargo, Dont release your bikes online and to stores.... this isnt Covid Era anymore -time to keep it hidden and control inventory on release.
It's like the slash gen 6, I was riding it well before the embargo lifted and got people hyped on it, who then purchased it - so two trains of thought there - dont do a middle ground and then get grumpy your crap got leaked.
Luckily there is a FB group that has some serious Bike industry leaks... people from within bike brands taking pictures and leaking details.
Theres no point in saying "oh but its to sell old stock" Most shops dont hold stock anymore and Bike brands should be better at keeping inventory numbers.
From the NAEC a couple weeks ago...
Although I'm a sucker for all the latest rumors and innovation on the tech-front (which in between chainstay length discussion sometimes occur in this thread), as a company it just sucks whenever people decide to leak stuff willingly.
There's people doing their best to create marketing & launch campaigns around new products, and most of the time go to great lengths to make sure it doesn't get public before. (Yes if you as a brand decide to go to Crankworx with an unreleased product it's up to you...)
Usually there's a slew of NDA's signed, and more often than not it's more incompetence with website related things from dealers (when visible, when not), than it's necessarily willingly leaking stuff.
In such cases it's really better for most people to remove those instances from places like this. Mistakes happen, no need to burn people for it.
Unbelievable Evil survived the last years and I am happy to see what's their line up looks like.
New Ibis AL range as well
The front triangle looks a bit more generic compared the the current gen frames. It's still a good looking bike but less distinct. The downtube looks relatively slim, so maybe no storage? And I'm really curious if they adopted the boost standard for the rear axle. Can any of the tech experts make a guess based on the photo, or is that impossible?
Also interested in the Ripmo AF, especially if they're going to make it slightly more descend-oriented, like they did last gen.
from the leaked push pic and the ones i posted it's clear that they will have Internal storage, agree though so far i'm not too much of a fan of the headtube design, i loved the previous one that looked like a Viper Bonnet to me.
it shouldn't be too far away
The compagny has change of hand recently, the new CEO was at the head of a bike association in the south of France. The association begin in trial but begin his diversification wish a public DJ park, DJ and enduro lesson. They do the same with the company
Prediction for the new Ripmo AF: all frame sizes will come with an 87mm head tube length.
The whole ski industry loves the titanium alloy named Titanal. Cleary named by a German because you add one space and it’s tit anal
I work for a ski company at the moment that uses titanal. Calling it tit-anal is the highlight of my workday.
Real (I use Siemens products almost every day at work)
Fun fact, despite its name, it’s actually an aluminum alloy.
fun fact: it’s called aluminium
I call it aluminium too but I don't feel like I need to "correct" people about it.
It started out as Alumium but then was later named Aluminum by the guy that first worked on isolating the element, and the name was based on "Alumina" which had been in use for a long time to describe the naturally occuring aluminium salts. Aluminium came after, made up by some random british people, and is pronounced completely differently to the root word. Remind me again which one is more correct...?
One leaf spring, nothing else... 🤔
