if you want a laugh, here’s the bronco ebike. Apparently the motocross-style saddle is awesome for exploring long trails where you can make the most of the 60 mile range. just in case you want your balls to fall off.

There's an edit in the middle of Neko saying "glad it wasn't mine" or something like that.
Damn.
I wonder if they have a spare...
At the start of his track walk video BK and Barney both have bike boxes at the airport, there's also more footage of BK riding later in Moi Moi's vlog, so it looks like it.
Wonder if that snap has anything to do with the Pivot having a flex stay. It's not a "true dw6" like the Atherton A series bikes - they cut one of the pivots out in favor for a flex stay.
I watched the Jack Moir video earlier today, and IIRC bernard was riding later on in the vid as well in the later features. So if the video is filmed from top>bottom, he was riding a spare already.
That part of frames is also very often in the ''hit zone'' of over enthusiastic baggage handlers.
Long interconti flights + multiple baggage handlers + cardboard box could've easily taken a hit during travels that might not be easily spotted when unpacking but gave way under riding.

I am always staggered by the amount that of pro riders that still insist on using cardboard bike boxes.
Common an Evoc (other brands are available) isn’t thta expensive in the long run, especially with the number of flights they take each year

"Lots of people liked this, lets use that color and the saddle"

Any rumors about a new/updated Firebird?
...asking for a friend...
@Dasf, haven't heard, but who knows what the lurking insiders here may know
Looks like Bernard Kerr snapped his Phoenix frame at Hardline off the board cliff drop...
https://youtu.be/5Zi87e4V5UA?t=1193
Looks permanently bottomed out all the way around the berm. Maybe a shock bolt or something but something looks funky with the rear end
Drive side seat stay appears to have let go.
Blown shock maybe? Is he running air or coil?

Yeah, sure looks like it snapped in half.
Should probably not look like this

Thank you, my bad.
In my defense, I got up REALLY early today and hadn't had coffee yet.

Shock looks dusty at https://youtu.be/smvc8h3F47Q?t=1134
But the chainstay is dusty too…
Maybe it’s a different bike and thus they adjust the fork pressure for athlete liking
Maybe instead of strapping weights to the frame to make it heavier, they should add a bit more carbon?
Curious to see if Pivot is as forthcoming about this failure as they were the prototype. Especially now that they've released this bike to the public.
Yeah the shock looks like its barely compressed past sag too

Clearly it's an early 2000's Demo 8
Theo: "We had a great morning Bernie, cracking lunch" 🤣
You trying to give me washers/shims/sticky grease/use a ball point pen flashbacks? 🙃
I'm guessing the audio cutting out on BK's video as he hits that drop is no mistake.
New coil shock by Intend? 🤤

If the saddle is too low on that Bronco "bike" you may destroy your knees, unless it accelerates with a trigger and you just sit passively on it.

Maybe my memory stopped working but anyone knows why the switch to Alu bonded frame for the DH ? What is the rationale behind it ?
It's not a switch, it's an addition and IIRC they're supposed to be a bit less expensive...
