Be cautious in this group talking sh!t on riders in their 50s. There are a few in this forum who absolutely rip...
New Sunn emtb line added to the CX release bus :
I'd be willing to bet the smaller increments (and hence perfectly sized/fitted bike) would not stop said person from crashing
That is far more eloquent and clear than I could ever hope to express it. Truly an artist with words.
And then, there's this.

I'm aware there is actually a growing market for these kind of frames, as emtb makes the sport more accessible to newcomers -and hats off to Haibike for taking the chance. But GOD MY HEAD HURTS
I already have the marketing figured out.... "Buy this awesome bike and you too can have C.R.A.B.S." "Don't be the only kid in town without C.R.A.B.S. when you hit the trails"
Broil Yourself
That's a proper moped.
I think you meant to say "New Crablink Sunn emtb line"
This is obviously an abomination, the worst thing my eyes have beheld since the RedAlp. But you gotta hand it to Haibike, they know their customer and they know where their bread gets buttered. They're the Skechers of the bike world.
the varying weights of crabs may shock you.
world cup DH bike weights.
god I love the f*ck out of the forum.
Unpopular opinion:
Who is going to compare different bike weights/costs to crab cost per pound? See which offers the better deal...
This guy with the artificial hip (while not 50 yet) also rips. Even if he now requires a step through frame apparently
That Norco plus 5 lbs is my eCRAB. Doesn't seem like a big penalty to get me up the hill fast and more runs down.
Taste like crab talk like people!
Question, does anyone know what a tuned mass damper would do for a hardtail? Or a full suspension XC bike? Like does this positively effect a bike more if it has more or less travel?
There's a ZK logo on the Maxxis hot patch on Minaar's tire or one of the Norco bikes in that tech vid. New stuff from High Roller that's working it's way over to the DHR and Assegai?
Team Crab-bot Pinches your face.
I'll take that t-shirt in XL, please.
This is where we're at right now. Thanks guys.
Now as for that Haibike? I've seen worse. Looks better than the advent of FS-Ebikes from iZip and the like. I figure we're in the e-bike equivalent of the regular-bike y-frame era at the moment.
Is it wrong that I think this is more interesting than the Rail? 100% functional commute up to the office, reasonable amounts of fun on blue trails home. Now granted there's not a ton of people in my work-office situation...
the eSUV market is an interesting one, a fully equipped FS bike with rack/fenders... What ever happened to a 90's hard tail with thick slicks and a ziptied milk crate on the front or back rack?
Pot holes are rough, man.
That exact prototype tire with ZK tech has been around since 2021. Just another layer of tread protection for the pro race runs. The only production tire that uses it is the Maxxis High Road.
@sprungmass is correct. It's a lightweight puncture resistant material used underneath the tread - aka a "breaker" layer.
As the expected range on these things continues to creep up, they become more and more compelling.
I'm honestly shocked the Pivot was the lightest DH bike they weighed by nearly 3lbs.
Shame on Mondraker for denying the scale!
That Haibike looks like an AliExpress Unno.
