Anyone have a guess what Push is teasing on Instagram?  Apparently "A new approach to rear suspension" will be released tomorrow.

There’s been lots of Norco rumours. The renderings of the high pivot optic and sight have been around for quite a while. Also hearing that as a company they are bleeding lots of cash.
hard times.

$800 would be nice but my guess is it'll be closer to $1000 MSRP - I hope I'm wrong. In a podcast I believe they mentioned 11-6 name came from being the 11th revision of the shock before release... or something like that.

I feel like the norco optic/sight high pivot rumor has been around for at least 2 years now. And also totally believe it, it’s just been “about to happen” for so long.

Makes me want to find a current optic before they’re all gone.

Like many other companies, they are sitting on excessive inventory. Pandemic wasn’t easy on them. Have you looked at the website? Optics are an awesome deal right now.

i was about to say that wouldn't make sense, as it would be too close to the price of the 11-6, but then I remembered with the latest revision of the 11-6 MSRP bumped up to $1600 D'oh.gif

(my comment was tongue in cheek as well, no way would a company have a price reference in their product sku nomenclature)

(disclaimer: Push dealer here)

From what I can tell, the MSRP of a complete Fox DHX2 is about $850 USD these days (including spring & hardware), just to give some context

They’re also doing mixed wheel configurations on all models. I think the VLTs are mixed only, and the analog bikes will be able to switch between the two wheel sizes.

Can we please call them "MuscleBikes"? That is what they are called in Spain (and maybe other countries)

I'm sure there is a better thread for this 'discussion' but 'e-bikes' already have a name that clearly differentiates them from 'bikes' so there is no need to rename 'bikes' in any way or form.

I call my hardtail "meat powered" now lol

The Norco VLT thing will be interesting, In Australia the deals on those bikes are incredible, 40% off RRP, sometimes coming with a free battery. I feel like a sucker paying full retail when they came out!

It would not surprise me if a new one comes out, but current gen only 2 years old. I suppose they did a <2 year layover on the model previous.

LOL

Another thing about the new Sight and Range VLT models is they are sticking with one size of battery. Gone is the three different size choices. 750 size battery which is pretty good. Bosch power as well.

Exactly. I've never heard anyone refer to a non powered toothbrush as analogue or acoustic.

I believe the high pivot Norco Sight prototype was posted in this thread, but can't find it anymore.

Norco going high pivot on models above Fluid makes a lotta sense from a company standpoint. Product differentiation. Fluid gets the old layout, the latest n greatest wonder bikes get the high pivot treatment.

High pivot doesn't make a 'wonder bike' it makes a plough Bike(in general)

I've been calling regular bikes "Naturally asperated" for a couple years but it hasn't caught on yet.

I've seen and ridden the new Norcos and these are legit. They are proper good bikes.

Right. Point of the post was about product differentiation. The new HP bikes will be New and Improved compared to their FSR rigs, making em easier to market and easier for dealers to sell. Kind of important when a consumer looks around and notices there are a lot of bikes with FSR from other brands that strangely cut similar silhouettes. This shouldn't be taken as a slight against Norco. They have to keep evolving/changing designs to keep interest, just like any other biz.

Color my interest piqued. I felt the same about a friend's Optic. I think Norco has done a lot of good homework when it comes to fit and function over the last 4 years.

Only got this; spring rates for 126lb rider.

From memory it's $850 for the shock assembly only, spring and hardware are extra. You can use springs from other manufacturers.
