The goat is leaving the herd...

I was assured of that last year. Then I was that guy who said I know something but can't tell. Then it didn't happen. We'll see...

Guessing but…Greg to leave SC so they can keep J,L,N again another money and budget situation

rumour was he would announce retirement after worlds last year but it didn’t happen.

Edr WONT be full battery power in 2025.

EDR is here to stay

I guess a worlds announced soon for EDR.

This is a bit off topic, but because it's been brought up so many times with respect to teams future's and such, has anyone noticed that the UCI's amendments for World Championships mention 10 disciplines, but EDR and E-EDR are listed together? It's only World Champs and not a series, but it would be pretty odd nowadays to have a UCI series without a World Championship.

"The UCI world championships shall comprise eight ten specialities: the Olympic cross-country Olympic (XCO), the cross-country marathon (XCM), the crosscountry team relay (XCR), the cross-country short track (XCC), the cross-country eliminator (XCE), the downhill individual (DHI), E-Mountain Bike (E-MTCool , the enduro/e-enduro (EDR/E-EDR), the snow bike (SNO) and the pump track (PUM)."

If we don’t look at SNO it can’t hurt us.

EDR World Champs are in Aletsch/Bellwald in 2025, was announced a while ago now. Pretty certain it has been posted here before?

There's an EDR World Cup in the same place next year.

I don't see Greg retiring after the season he's had this year, he's got unfinished business...

His rumoured move would be considered thinking outside the box. Compass points N.

What is the E-MTB race and how is it supposed to be different from the E-EDR?

I said it before. I didn’t think the teams were “folding”, “dissolving”, or discontinuing their race programs. They are restructuring, renaming(new sponsors), and doing new contracts. The landscape has changed dramatically, especially with the costs of going racing and the new formats/schedule.

They had an opportunity to sell the idea that they were all “done” because we didn’t really know what was going on. Then they turn around and release a new team intro video. That’ll get lots of views/clicks.

I'm actually glad several of the rumored dissolution of racing teams were incorrect.

Let's face it, we are in a niche sport and there aren't many of these jobs going around.

E-MTB is basically electric XC racing, with a focus on super steep climbs and many laps around a set course.
E-EDR is electric enduro racing, so more of a focus on the downhill portion with multiple stages and (editSmile timed liaisons between them.
Edited because I was incorrect on timed vs untimed liaisons

E EDR does have timed liaisons, and they can be pretty ruthless as well.

Is that a Maxxis dhr2 up front?

And is that a Shimano brake lever? Back of the left side visible, coupled with the lever shape in the shadow on the floor ?

Both a departure from last season.
