Maybe we can get a video at the first WC asking the pros if they mess with the fans during the silly season..

Suspension, brakes and crank arms are also blacked, maybe a move to FOX/Shimano?

You can still sell a bike and donate to charity regardless right? Doesn't necessarily mean the main reason is for charity... Maybe he just felt like might as well? But yea, i thought brendawg was already confirmed to scott... i dunno anything... Dizzy

As long as it´s not the proto i wouldn´t read too much into it.
This is the time these guys get new bikes anyway and there was something going on within that team and their bikes even during the season. Him riding the Gambler for Rampage with a Fox 40 was already a strange move.
They probably are getting closer to a releasing the new frame and he can finally take the new bike home to train on, so doesn´t need the old Gambler anymore.

Brendog probably has 3 complete bikes, 2-3 extra frames, and 2 dozen wheels from last year. I’m sure Scott has no problem with him donating one to charity

He raced the end of the season on the proto frame, Scott engineers probably didn’t want to strength test it on tv with rampage, like some have said. It’s an old bike with old parts he’s donating to charity. When you make money you have to give some away. Nothing strange there

Looks like a YT Tues or could just be the Commencal Furious, but the shock mount seems to low.

It's probably a Pole. Anyone riding a 29er loves sitting on a nice long Pole. #trolling

May I add that, in addition to having a killer bike, the Commencal Vallnord - Riding Addiction team also just happened to be on it in terms of organization and strategy this year. It was pretty clear as early as the preseason that they already had a plan in mind and it was executed perfectly in 2018.

Getting Daprela and Pierron into the team was a fantastic first step. They also chose the right sponsors (SRAM and Spank, in particular) and training regimens for all their riders. Unlike other teams which were scrambling to get a 29" DH frankenbike ready to race (with retrofitted parts in some cases), Commencal was ready almost at the onset. All the riders seemed like they could come back from injuries more easily than most, and their mental game was also on point. The team, all the way down to the mechanics and physios, reportedly keep a relaxed atmosphere in the pits as well but are absolutely professional and motivated. Even some of the team members' parents are closely involved, cooking them meals and helping out with whatever.

It's not just the bike and rider when pretty much the team overall overachieved in 2018.

Is it just me, or are taking a subtle shot at the Syndicate and suggesting it's not a well-run team?

Also, regarding VPP, could it be that the VPP patent expired and, since everyone could use it, Intense decided to tweak it more to their liking, without having an obligation towards Santa Cruz anymore?
No digs at the Syndicate, or any team for that matter (not sure why you got that idea).

Commencal Vallnord just slayed it last season, I bet other teams are also looking at how to emulate or top all the stuff that the Riding Addiction team did in 2018.

Oh I'm sure this thread gets passed around a table or two over a few beers and a few laughs/head shakes are had while they figure out ways to mess with people who are taking it too seriously.

They entertain us in the summer so we give back during the off season the only way we can.

New bike already there!

Also the guy behind Crema cycles is heavily involved with ENVE (distributing?) And he seems to be at the Commencal training camp. Commie on ENVE next year seems likely after the Chris King link with the Commencal team for next year already mentioned.

Ken Bloomer has been the european distributor of Enve for many years.

Others than the classic american grammar, nothing except Athertons and Reece makes sense. Gwen never to return to the big S and Bruni and Iles confirmed on specialized for at least another year

Does Dirt exist anymore? As a frame supplier instead of propain

A german site recently reported that they've been bugging Cube for Infos after which they've confirmed that they signed "a young Brit" and a Frenchie.
That would kinda fit the bill for Atwill.
And seeing that Rudy Cabirou left Devinci he might be the Frenchie?

"Farewell - Aaron Gwin
“Thank you for three glorious years of World Cup Racing, historic firsts, epic victories and a lot of lessons learned. Demonstrating that YT can succeed on a global stage, proving doubters wrong and establishing the YT MOB on the circuit. Thank you for the good times Aaron & Neko!

Now is the time to go back to the core and take the gained knowledge to our roots. Pass it on to the next generation, identify the next Young Talents and redefine the rules once again. Let the journey begin!”
