I'd be extremely disappointed in the bike industry if they didn't take this opportunity to also introduce a new hub standard. That would be VERY uncharacteristic of them.

See, I dislike comments like this because instead of commenting on the actual merits of my microspline hatred you claim that it stems from a lack of "ability" and that I am not "worthy" of wrenching because of my opinions. Microspine drivers are a blight against humanity and should die in a fire along with the stupid plastic spacer they require to prevent Shimano cassettes from creaking like a haunted house. The only thing that might be worse than the microspine interface and its woefully anemic, made of cheese, lock ring might be the actual cassettes themselves which in the year of our lord 2026 still are half singe piece pinned garbage that falls apart and half stamped metal plates with spacers. Seriously, 12 speed shimano stuff is the most disappointing experience I've ever had with a drivetrain. I hate...

Added a couple new notches in the idiot belt recently: My Maven brakes started getting air in the levers and fouling bleeds fairly quickly. First the front, then the rear, then the front again. WTF? Wandering bite point and general ranting ensues for a bit... Further investigation reveals that I had not tightened the hose compression nut to the lever anywhere near the proper 8nm torque. I got at lest a turn and a half on each nut with the crow foot torque wrench. Fresh bleed and haven't had an issue yet this season. Ran the loose hoses for at...

I will echo this, STFU combined with the Jab derailleur is the best combo I have found for reducing chain slap.

No experiences personally, there is a new forum on MTBR titled ROOST Ti Bars snapping.. that may be worth a read. That's the main thing that had me concerned.

It's kind of funny to see Unno and Suntour on the same bike: one is known for being a very blingy boutique, low volume manufacturer; and the other has no flash, makes parts for almost every other brand, and is known for being inexpensive. It's like putting EXT on a Polygon.
